ITT Worlds entries:

  • Evenepoel: Everyone
  • Tarling: Woosie, Bonaparte, Old Big 'Ead, Dravid, Ironhawk
  • Ganna: tso
  • Roglic: Woosie, tso, chels
  • Kung: Bonaparte, Old Big 'Ead, Dravid, chels, Ironhawk
Not at all surprised all picks were between these 5, and that everyone chose Remco.

Grace Brown follows up her Olympics gold with a win in the World Championships. Good to see another Aussie world champ!
Question - Is this the first time that Rainbow Jersey won't be on show the following season? Amazing feat to do this in retiring year.

Remco wins from Ganna, with Affini in third

Nice to see Vine in the top 5 (after a crash as well)..
The Aussie male cyclists are getting into a bad habit of crashing when in contention for medals. Plapp at the Olympics, now Vine here. Hopefully next time they can just get the medal without the crash!

Results will be posted later in the week, trying to stay awake while watching the Brownlow tonight...

Yeah Vine can't seem to go a couple of races without crashing.

Dashboards:

Bonaparte.png Chels.png Dravid.png Ironhawk.png Old Big Ead.png Tso.png Woosie.png

I haven't forgotten these, there was just a lot of updating required, and I needed a bit of time to put these together. They should be relatively easy to keep up to date now that I have finally updated them.

You'll notice a few appearance changes on these dashboards - many of you now have national championship bands, and everyone has world championship bands. These will be in place for 12 months, until the next time these events are held, and you'll need to pick the winner of these events again to keep them. Many of you also have different background colours based on the Olympics results - gold if you managed to pick a gold medalist and silver for silver. Nobody managed a bronze background. These will be in place for four years.

Quite a few new achievements unlocked, I'll detail these in the next post.

New achievements awarded:

TDF.png

Tour de France Winner Achievement.
Unlocked by selecting the winner of the Tour de France amongst your six selections.
Awarded to: Bonaparte, chels, Dravid, Ironhawk, Old Big 'Ead, tso, Woosie

This one is similar to the Giro achievement and it is pretty clearly French when you look at the image.

Vuelta.png

Vuelta a Espana Winner Achievement.
Unlocked by selecting the winner of the Vuelta a Espana amongst your six selections.
Awarded to: Bonaparte, Dravid, Ironhawk, Old Big 'Ead, tso, Woosie

Again, like the Italian and French ones, this one is pretty clearly Spanish for this achievement.

Grand Tours.png

Grand Tour Winner Achievement.
Unlocked by achieving the three Grand Tour Winner achievements (Giro, Tour and Vuelta Winners).
Awarded to: Bonaparte, Dravid, Ironhawk, Old Big 'Ead, tso, Woosie

Nothing too fancy with this one, it's just a map of the three countries that the three main Grand Tour races are held in.

SixteenK.png

16K Grand Tour Achievement.
Unlocked by scoring at least 16,000 points across the three Grand Tour events in a single season.
Awarded to: Bonaparte, Dravid

I wasn't sure what would show up when I searched for 16K in an image search, but just like a 16K screen (if they ever become a thing) this one is a very clear image of this achievement. I expected this to be challenging, nobody would have earned this one in 2023.

Suisse.png

Tour de Suisse Winner Achievement.
Unlocked by selecting the winner of the Tour de Suisse amongst your four selections.
Awarded to: Bonaparte, chels, Dravid, Ironhawk, Old Big 'Ead, Woosie

This is an image of a cabin in Switzerland, with the iconic Matterhorn in the background. It seemed appropriate here, as it's what a lot of people associate with Switzerland. It's also just a nice picture.

Dauphine.png

Criterium du Dauphine Winner Achievement.
Unlocked by selecting the winner of the Criterium du Dauphine amongst your four selections.
Awarded to: Bonaparte, chels, Dravid, Ironhawk, Kiewa

This race is held in the Rhone-Alpes region of France. There are plenty of mountains in this region (and race), so as you would expect, I had to pick a mountainous picture. The image is of the Vallon de Savine located near the Italian border, almost in a direct line between Grenoble and Turin.

WC TT.png

World Championships ITT Winner Achievement.
Unlocked by selecting the winner of the World Championships ITT amongst your three selections.
Awarded to: Bonaparte, chels, Dravid, Ironhawk, Old Big 'Ead, tso, Woosie

I honestly didn't think there'd be a rainbow watch worth $125K, but apparently this Hublot watch is. Not my style anyway. With the World Champs winners earning a rainbow jersey, and this being the time trial, I still thought it appropriate to use for this achievement image.

Podium.png

Pick the Podium Achievement.
Unlocked by selecting all three riders that finish on the podium amongst your selections in a single race.
Awarded to: Bonaparte, Dravid

Do I really need to explain my reasoning for this image? It's three people on a podium, so it made sense to use. I thought this would be tough to earn outside of the Grand Tours due to the favourites restriction, however it's been pretty tough to pick the podium in those races as well this year. Well done to the two who have earned this one.

In addition to the above achievements, Bonaparte has earned the Over 6000 achievement from the Tour de France.

Just a reminder the next event (World Championships Road Race) starts in around 18 hours from now. Easy to miss if you are celebrating/ commiserating too hard for the AFL GF.

Sorry, just picked... Not sure if it's too late but I'll abide by your decision!
It's early enough in such a long race that I don't think it matters and will allow the late picks this time. I'll post all selections shortly.
