Leaderboard with 2 events remaining:
Dravid takes the lead, and with just two events to go for the year, is in a strong position to hold onto that lead. Il Lombardia is to be held in a couple of weeks time on 7 October, with the Tour of Guangxi the following week to wrap up the season.
I'm strongly considering cutting a few events from the calendar for next season (Limiting it to the 3 Grand Tours, World Championships, 5 Monuments, and 7 main tours). This would limit it to the main events for the year only - from 37 events to 17. There will be scoring changes as well to balance things out a bit between events, but overall, it's not too far off what I wanted to see.
There was a suggestion to add women's events to the calendar, which I am not opposed to. What are the thoughts on this? I seriously considered adding them this year, but wasn't sure how popular they would be. If there's enough support, I'm happy to add the major events to the calendar for 2024. I must admit, I'm not as familiar with the women's tour, so I don't know exactly which events are the major ones (they appear to mostly be similar to the men's), but I can do my best to work that out.
