Team selection will be difficult for Immortals Manager Philzsay with two stars likely to return.
Patrick Dangerfield has served his suspension and will be an immediate boost to the Immortals forward. The question remains after letting his teammates down with his suspension will he be immediately handed the Captaincy?
Meanwhile Jeremy Cameron also looks in frame to add some height alongside Aaron Naughton up front in what will be Cameron's first game of the season.
Banging down the door at team selection is Lachlan Ash whom Immortals fans have been screaming to be added to the team since the season began. Surely the manager can't keep ignoring him any longer?
Questions remain if Shane Mumford will back up his remarkable 125 last week with Andrew Phillips a minor chance to return having performed admirably in the Bombers reserves practice match last week.
Noah Balta looks most likely to make way for Ash; while Josh Battle and Mitch Georgiadis will struggle to maintain their spots with the star forwards returning.

Arcadia Timelords
The Timelords will be trying to bounce back from their horror trip to the Quagmire last week as they remain on the road and head to the Dome to take on the Roppongian Rangers.
The task is not going to get any easier with Caleb Daniel sitting out after accepting a one match ban for his dangerous tackle against the Immortals. He will be joining the long term injured Stephen Coniglio, Jack Martin, James Harmes on the sidelines whilst Harry Perryman is likely to miss another week as he recovers from glandular fever.
Aaron Francis has been continuing to show good form in the reserves and may be leading those in contention to replace Daniel. Prized draftee Luke Pedlar also impressed with three goals last week, but may need more time in the seconds after overcoming an abdominal injury before securing his Timelords debut. Jeremy Finlayson continues to dominate in the seconds, kicking four goals last week, making it difficult for the selection selection panel to continue to ignore him. Miles Bergman and Zac Langdon also both continue to put their hand up for recalls.

Creme de la Creme
Creme's will be looking to notch their fourth win on the trot against the formidable Neptune Knights who are keen to atone for their winless start in front of a vocal home crowd at Neptune Park this weekend. Coach Connoisseur has one injury to deal with along with very hot competition for the final few spots.
Unfortunately Steven May came off second best in an onfield scuffle with his Creme teammate Tom Hawkins, which reportedly started due to Tom's displeasure with May attracting the higher offer at the free agent draft and receiving an extra $70,000 per year. Alex Witherden will hopefully slot into the vacant position whilst May recovers and was quick to remind the selection committee about reeling in the big fish (170) on debut last season. Jordan Clark is likely to be omitted if Tom Rockliff is available with Harry Morrison moving to the backline. The tall forward revolving door continues this season with Logan McDonald to be dropped after an underwhelming debut, with Tarryn Thomas and Ben Ainsworth under heavy consideration to feature in a smaller forward line against the Knights.

The Stingers should finally regain Mitch McGovern for this weekend's clash against the Giants, with the marking forward again kicking three goals in the reserves defeat on Saturday. Paddy Dow struggled again and was held to just eight disposals. Key defender Griffin Logue pushed claims this week after a strong return in the reserves, while Brandan Parfitt should be fit after missing the loss to the Cremes with a hip complaint. Matthew Flynn ready to return after missing last week as a late out. Curtis Taylor is another option, should the Stingers elect for a smaller forward line. Xavier Duursma was injured late and will miss 10-12 weeks after surgery. Tall forward Todd Marshall was a late withdrawal. If fit, Marshall should return.

The injury ravaged Jets are running on fumes, but still keep finding a way to get it done in their undefeated start to 2021. Things will get even more difficult this week after superstar defender Jordan Ridley was ruled out of the ANZAC day clash with concussion. With Shannon Hurn not yet ready to return from a calf injury, Liam Baker, unsighted since Round 1, seems likely to regain his spot in the team. Patrick Lipinski is always on the edge of selection, but expect him to retain his place in the Jets depleted midfield provided he remains in the Bulldogs final 22. If not, George Hewett returned to some semblance of reasonable scoring over the weekend and will be considered. Mitch Lewis is a chance to make his club debut after serving his 1-match suspension, which would make Darcy Macpherson and Anthony Scott nervous. Relief is still a little while away for the reigning Premiers; aside from Ridley and Hurn, Dion Prestia is the only best-22 staple expected back in the next month.

The Timelords will be full of confidence to take on the Giants at home after bouncing back to defeat the Roppongian Rangers in a nail biter last weekend.
The team should be boosted by the return of Caleb Daniel (suspension) and Harry Perryman (glandular fever). Mark O’Connor (heel) is also a chance for a return, however Stephen Coniglio (ankle), Jack Martin (knee), James Harmes (wrist) will all continue to sit on the sidelines for a few more weeks yet

Dagobah Mere Mortals
The Immortals are failing to live up to their moniker this week with an injury crisis forcing Manager's Philzsay hand. Essentially if you are fit you are playing this week.
Expensive recruit Patrick Dangerfield has been ruled out for month, with rising young midfielder Adam Cerra also to spend significant time on the sidelines.
Jordan De Goey will also miss with concussion, while Shane Mumford is unlikely to back up after two impressive performances.
The Immortals are praying the Jeremy Cameron and Andrew Phillips are able to step up to the plate this week, or may take the field with less than 22 players this week.
Manager Philzsay is believed to be sweating on AFL team selections tonight.....

Defender Fischer McAsey is in form at reserve level and pushing for a SCSUL call-up after the Stingers were left with form and injury issues out of round six. Paddy Dow (20 disposals, six tackles) was solid, but might need to be given an extended run in the reserves to find some form. Dylan Stephens (32 disposals) got plenty of the ball, while Luke Dunstan's 46-disposal outing can't be ignored. Esava Ratugolea, however, remains a further way off after missing the match with groin soreness.
If Brennan Cox is unable to recover from an ankle injury in time, the Stingers will have little option but to field an undersized defence against the Jets. Xavier O'Halloran (shoulder) is in doubt. 2020 draftee Tanner Bruhn had little impact in three quarters after starting as medical sub. Nick Blakey (corked thigh) could barely run for most of the Immortals clash, and is now in a race against time to be fit to face the Jets on Saturday night, with Curtis Taylor waiting in the wings after a solid outing on his return from concussion.

It's a matter of one step forward two steps back for the selection committee down at Goodman Football Group this week, with the return of star defender Lachie Whitfield o***et against the loss of Nick Haynes (hamstring) and the potential out of a sore Luke Ryan. Ryan was spotted being put through his paces in a fitness test on Thursday, however a decision on his availability isn't expected to be made until Saturday. James Worpel will be in the frame for a recall, producing a much improved display in the reserves game last weekend. Youngster Errol Gulden might be due a rest after playing the first six rounds of the season, while last rounds late in James Rowe didn't have his best game and could make way for either Finlay Macrae or Archie Perkins.

Rangers complete hunt for a big fish
The Rangers are pleased to announce the addition of Jake Lloyd and Dyson Heppell to its squad after a deal was reached with the Darkness (the parties’ second deal of 2021).
The high profile acquisition for the Rangers sees the Rangers give up promising youngsters in Connor Downie and Will Kelly as well as established half back flanker Darcy Byrne-Jones along with an array of four mid to late draft selections for the 2022 and 2023 seasons, whilst having support from the Darkness to navigate the Rangers 2021 salary cap constraints (in the Ranger’s push for a spot in the top 4).
Coach Sho announced that he was pleased to secure “big fish” Lloyd as well as a long time coach’s favourite in Heppell.
Lloyd and Heppell will link up with the Rangers squad tonight ahead of their debut for the Rangers against the YRA this weekend.
The Darkness builds young talent base
The Darkness is pleased to announce the addition of a number of young players to its list, building the club’s future pipeline of talent.
Following an active period of trade discussions, the club has announced deals with Yorkshire’s Republican Army and Roppongian Rangers that will see future prospects Tyler Brown, Connor Downie and Will Kelly join The Darkness, in addition to 25 year old defender Darcy Byrne-Jones on a long term deal.
Top defender and vice captain Jake Lloyd, along with quality midfielders Dyson Heppell and Sam Menegola, will leave the club and are understood to be settling in well as they come up to speed with the game styles of their new coaches.
Coach Darkie thanks all three players for their service, and wishes them well as they seek premiership glory at their new clubs.
The trades will also see The Darkness gain a number of draft picks, with the club bearing a portion of the departing players’ salaries.
List advisor Ted Guy said “We’ve seen other clubs employ the innovative strategy of paying players to play against them, and didn’t want to miss out on the action. On the plus side, we have added depth to the club’s young talent pool, and secured a number of players on longer term deals. Roppongian Rangers
An array of debuts are expected for the Rangers, with big name preseason signing Ryder expected to be fit for his first game of 2021 and Ben Brown declared fit to debut for the Rangers against his old club (the Yorkshire’s Republican Army, not North Melbourne!). New signings Jake Lloyd and Dyson Heppell are also expected to come straight in for a debut for the Rangers. Dustin Martin will go out with concussion and has been given special permission to travel to NZ during such time.
Verdict: Ryder, Lloyd, Heppell and Brown in for Sinclair, DBJ, Dustin Martin and Oscar Allen. - Mitch Cleary

Arcadia Timelords
The Timelords will need to monitor a few players before their all important trip to Lake St Moritz to take on fellow top 5 hopefuls Creme De La Creme.
Defender Aaron Francis is in doubt after injuring his ankle against the Giants last week. There might be a few options despite Mark O’Connor injuring his hamstring in the reserves on his return game after his ankle injury. Isaac Quaynor put in a strong display after being dropped last week and could be up for a quick recall or James Harmes could be an outside chance to return from his wrist injury.
The midfield depth could be put to the test with rumour that in form Jaeger O’Meara may need to be rested as he manages groin soreness. Brayden Fiorini and Nicholas Shipley have been showing good form at the lower level and could come into contention if the Timelords decide not to restructure and give Kyle Langford a run through the midfield.
Top draftee Riley Thilthorpe continues to dominate in the reserves and can’t be far away from making his Timelords debut.
