I just looked at the overall rankings and had no idea I was top 100 overall (97th). No way I make it into the prizes (top 30), I am too far behind for that, but I think I should have a pretty good final stage with points from the overall jersey rankings. Hopefully I can hold onto a top 100 spot.
Not sure exactly how many people play this, but I know I was ranked 53K+ in one stage, so there's quite a few.
Learnt a lot from playing this season. Hold trades - easy to get sucked in to making early trades, like Hindley because he was wearing the Yellow jersey, etc

I did look at this and thought wow that's a huge mistake which has affected the overall rankings heaps! The person in 2nd place got the incorrect points of Campenaerts, hopefully they amend this

It took me until my third attempt to win our league, my first two years were pretty average. Once you get your head around the limited trades available it gets a bit easier, but in the end there's still an element of luck involved.
The overall winner was a team called CrossClimber that entered the final stage in 2nd place, traded in Meeus in the final round, made him captain and won the final stage to take the overall prize. @Diabolical were you managing another team?

Lol … no chance as I have absolutely no idea what I am doing in this cycling game!
Interesting that they had 10 trades. The one thing that really puts me off this comp is that it’s not an even playing field. Those who know more about cycling than plebs like me are going to beat me anyway, but to then give them an extra trade or two and it’s game over before it begins.

I don't like that aspect of the comp either where some people get more trades than others. Particularly because there must be some type of hack when you see so many people getting 30/30 and pretty much maximum time points for every question. That just doesn't seem plausible to me.
Doing the quiz is actually a bit of fun but don't agree that the reward should be extra trades.
You can pretty easily get 90+ on the questions if you actually know the answer. Some of these people might be freaks who know the history of the race inside out... (I do think some cheat too). To be fair, I was on track to get the 2 bonus trades after the first quiz too this year, before having a poor second quiz.
I think I have managed at least 1 bonus trade from the quiz each year, including this year - I don't think that having 1 less trade is why someone like that beat me. Just too good.
We all forgot about the referral credits this year. We all tried last year by setting up a heap of leagues and referring to each others however I think we all did it too late and missed out.
I didn’t use my last trade this year. Meant I had 6 credits on the bench, but felt I had a moral victory over everyone who used more than the basic 8 trades.
