Think it's curtains for Queen Hayley.

George and Liz are just too damn good.
Yeah, with the other plan to vote out George at tribal, it didn't ever seem like everyone was on board so I was pretty sure Hayley was gone going into tribal. The fact the only George vote was from Simon suggests it was never being seriously considered and just added for drama.

Nina/Matt/Simon alliance doesn't really seem a thing either, despite it being promoted for the next episode. One of those two boys will be next out. Doesn't really make sense for Nina to join them in what would be a 3/3 split, when she'd be in the majority if she sticks with George. Could happen if the majority decides to split votes 2-2 on Matt/Simon, then Nina might flip, but don't see it.

I have a feeling they've reverted back to a final 2 just from what George has been saying all season about a final 2. Which means a only someone who wins a final immunity challenge will get to choose who they take to final 2. Of the remaining people that would be out of Simon/Matt/Liz/Nina. It's a big shame as that means someone like George who's played one of the best games ever will likely not make final tribal council just because he's not a challenge beast. (IF it's final 3, he could sneak his way in)

Matt and Gerry are too afraid to make a move on George. Neither will win. Only way either of them wins is if Matt wins that final immunity challenge and takes Gerry.

Simon would have to win every immunity challenge from now on and somehow make the world's greatest pitch to the jury to have a chance of even getting votes. Currently is public enemy number 1 and as soon as he loses, it's curtains for him. Unlikely to win as I think he's rubbed a few people the wrong way. Has played one of the worst games I've seen for awhile. Also has the car curse, no one who's ever won the car goes on to win Survivor.

Nina hasn't really done anything tbh until last night. The one time she planned to get rid of Hayley pre-merge was probably the only time that could have been great on her resume but due to a twist beyond her control, couldn't get it to happen. She does have quite a few friends on that jury who may just vote for her to win if they dislike whoever she's sitting next to in that final 2.

George will not win unless he wins the final immunity challenge and brings himself to final 2. Cannot see anyone in their right mind taking him to the final. He probably will be one of the greatest ever players to not win Survivor just like Russel in his Heroes Vs Villains season.

I think Liz may just win by default in the end. She has made some moves albeit not as great as George but still has been controlling the votes at times. Can see some type of endurance challenge as usual for that final immunity challenge and Liz has shown she's good at those types of challenges.

Meanwhile, at the survivor reunion show (George wearing the crown) ….

Gerry & Matt “It’s not time yet”
I can see pretty much all this. :ROFLMAO:

George has been by far the most controlling player this season, and would deserve the win. He has definitely been the focus all season, and it probably would have been reasonably boring without him. I definitely get Russell vibes too (who I didn't think played as well as George - but dominated screen time as much). Gerry definitely won't vote him out yet, Matt might think about it now after he realises he's only just above Simon. Nobody should take him to final 2, maybe Liz could successfully though (depending on who the final 3 are, I can see that being a decent possible move for her if she wins final immunity).

I reckon Simon is a sneaky chance if he keeps performing in challenges.

There’s a bit more affection for him in the villa than I’d realized, and I think he’s actually playing okay with the hand he’s been dealt.

He hasn’t been able to convince others to go with him, but he’s surviving off his own bat, and therefore done a lot more than quite a few others to do so.

He’s also more likable when he’s on the bottom than when he’s on the top (when he can get ahead of himself), but I think his challenge will be articulating his game effectively if he makes it to the final tribal. If someone like Hayley was making his pitch for him, the story would be more compelling 🙂

I've only watched a few episodes here and there, and maybe it's just the edit, but it seems to be 'the George' show, and almost everything he has wanted has happened.

Can't believe he hasn't been taken out yet, he hasn't even had his own idol or won individual immunity either has he?

George used an idol in an earlier episode where he completely outplayed Simon and Jordie in particular. This one play moved him from a weak position in the tribe, where he was in a minority to a very strong one, as he also saved Stevie, bringing him into his alliance (before later voting him out). Very good tribal that one, that they were promoting as the "best ever". Big call, but it was definitely worth watching, and showed why he's hard to beat if he makes final 2.

Some of my thoughts on the remainders and rest of season

George
One of the goat's for sure. In his original season, he was a pain from the get-go. Typically that type of player that is outspoken and too much at the start of the game gets the early boot. His passion for the game is clear. His strategy is incredible. His ability to get so far in the game twice, whilst being so unlikable in the tribe and also so utterly useless in challenges is a reflection of how good he is strategically.
Deserving winner, but won't win if it's a final 2. Will come 4th imo.

Liz
Gee people are giving Liz far too much credit for mine. Not only is she a pawn to George, but she was a pawn to Shonee. A double pawn. Really, she has just backed up and re-enforced the decisions made by George/Shonee. A good loyal soldier in her alliance, but an outwitting and outplaying Survivor contestant, spare me. She also looks p***ed off all the time, why so mad? I have her finishing 5th.

Simon
I think Simon wins it from here. He's been heavily prominent in the edit throughout the series. Made to be this no-idea, no mates guy that is just there but not sure how. Reminds me a bit of Krissy (I think was her name) in the blood v water season. Came on with her brother in law or something that was a Survivor fan and called tribal council something like "tribunal". I'm thinking, even if you're not a fan of the show, everyone would do some research before going away for potentially 47 days in this show. She goes on to finish top 3 I think it was.
I think Matt and Nina work with Simon. They get to final 3. Simon wins the last immunity and takes Matt to final 2 and wins.
His game has actually been very good. For a guy that's always on the outer, his ability to get this far, he's going to have a very strong case at final tribal. Winner is my guess.

Gerry
One of the worst survivor contestants I've ever seen. Not a reflection on his physical challenge efforts which for a man of his age have been quite impressive. But strategically, mate come on. I am honestly not convinced that this bloke is not on a camping holiday tending to his fire and arm chair before a final stint at his aircraft job before retirement. No intention to vote out George, but will have absolutely nothing if he gets to the end with or without George. Next to go for mine.

Matt
Finally chose to make a move last night, but really he didn't he voted with the group and went Nina. The thought was there right? Another absolute nothing player that has just coasted under the George alliance. At least he realises how much of a nothing game he has played, with the tears shed in last nights episode. Come on mate, time to move. I think he partners with Simon and Nina and makes it to final 2, as Simon (or Nina if she wins in my top 3 prediction) will both take Matt to final 2.

Nina
Hasn't done much, but I think her not doing much has been more strategic than that of Matt or Gerry. She has been part of a lot of the moves. She's starting to get active and this is her moment if she wants to win this game. She can work with Simon and probably Matt to orchestrate the take down of George, Gerry and Liz who are all very tight. Those moves if she can pull if will be big. And her case at final tribal will have some recency bias to it as well which could work in her favour. Can see her winning if she makes final 3, but she probably needs to win that last immunity if she's a chance of being taken to final tribal. I am guessing she just misses and will finish an honorable third.

From memory I was quite keen on the final three for this reason - the winner of the final challenge gets the benefit of immunity, but doesn’t solely determine who they sit next to and can make it a one-sides affair to benefit their own game at the expense of the contest.

George the most dominant player ever falls just short like many who have come before him.

Probably the most undeserving final 3 in survivor history. Liz likely wins by default just because the other two did absolutely nothing.

This is brutal, Liz wins easily. The other two have done nothing all game, Liz hasn't really either but at least is selling it much better.

7-0. Clear winner from that final 3. Not hard against 2 who did nothing all game.

I thought all three pitches were better than expected, especially Matt and Gerry’s. Unfortunately the Q&A showed how thin Gerry’s pitch was, and Matt blew up because he couldn’t compellingly claim a single move (somehow Liz got the credit for getting rid of George, even though Matt did more than Liz …).

Liz was a deserving winner amongst the three, and I’m not surprised it was unanimous after the Q&A.

I do struggle a bit with seeing someone as dominant as George not even getting the opportunity to pitch. The final three structure helps, but wasn’t enough. Those three literally couldn’t have left it any later to get rid of George, and it was unanimous, so none of them can really claim much credit in finally doing so.
