Loving the new season of Australian Survivor so far. It's finally a brand new cast and no celebrities or previous players. Definitely quite a lot of superfans in there not afraid to do some big moves early. Two great blindsides from the first 3 tribal councils. (The Jess one was the non blindside)

Titans
Loving the invisible hand and middle age Mafia alliance from Titans. Think im 99% sure Nathan won't be any chance of winning survivor this season the way it's going.

Rebels
Kelli oh my lord... social awareness definitely lacking and almost ruined that plan. Too over the top. She's meant to be a psychologist? 🤣

The AFLW coach & the LPO are very observant and are ones to watch. Feras could improve on his tribal councils skills a bit. Almost ruined the plan by telling people to hold onto their idols.

I'm a bit mixed in my view of this season. Still a few people I'm not sure who they are 3 episodes in. A lot of the character development is going to too few, there's probably 7 or 8 you can say are almost no chance as they have done nothing substantial yet. Guess that happens most seasons with such a large cast.

3 women gone in the first three votes. Going to be a male dominated season at this rate.

I think Nathan might go a fair way. Seems to have some fans on the other tribe anyway, he'll make it to at least a tribe swap to play that out a bit more (although they are often fairly early). Either that or they just showed it as a light hearted scene.

Oh my lord. Sarah I wouldn't call that a blindside 🤣.

That was my least favourite episode by far in what has been a such a great season. Sarah & Ri makes my brain hurt. *facepalm* Their survivor knowledge isn't great.

Feel sorry for Mark, great strategist but was working with two of the most frustrating people ever. He probably should have told that duo the exact plan that the others were doing and that they were on the chopping block but I gather he just didn't want to be seen talking to them both for too long. Basically a dead man walking unless he can somehow crawl his way back in with the middle aged Mafia. Going to need a lot to go his way. Alex did what he could but Sarah just wouldn't listen to him and blew everything up. Well done to Eden on telling the others to go all in on Sarah instead of splitting. Read the situation very well.

I liked Sarah, but agree she is not great at the game. Was hoping for a 4-4 split for more drama, but it was pretty obvious Rhi hadn't voted Caroline.

Not my favourite season so far, but it's been watchable.

Something about this season feels different - My guess it is the fact that we don't have any recognisable faces. Celebrities or return players...

However, on the flipside the new faces know how to play the game, unlike ex AFL players, etc, so the fact that we've had many blindsides pre-merge has been great, although last night was definitely not a blindside. Think the season will definitely get more juicy as it progresses.

Australian Survivor is 10 times better than the US, so I am sure we'll see some interesting developments.

Yeah, I find the US version terrible now. Everyone has about 15 advantages in play and half the people either can't vote or are immune. Just rubbish.

I am liking the series, but something seems a bit off for me too. For a lot of the people in this season, everything about them has just been full on strategy/game, there doesn't seem to be as much getting to know the various people as much as in previous seasons. Maybe I'm remembering that wrongly though.

US version has too many agenda's it has to follow. In Australia, they can just play the game!

Yes, they've taken away the chats and only shown strategy discussions this season.

Definitely agree, new blood means we get people who actually know how to play game. Making moves early is great for TV. However with 24 conetstants, in the Aussie version... making moves too early normally means it's hard to make it to the end as you'd get blindsided very early too.

The US version has definitely gotten worse after season 40. Too many advantages as Ironhawk mentioned. Bring back old school survivor plz. Australian Survivor is basically old school Survivor which is why it's been 10 times better.

Yeah... definitely too many advantages in the US.

It's definitely been what I wanted, more strategic chats. I don't have a problem with it. Will watch another show if I wanted to know more about people and their lives. That or just go on their social media which I may or may not have already done 🤣

Immunity was way too early so I did somewhat get the feeling there'd be some sort of twist. Normally not a fan of twists like that. The twist was surely orchestrated by the producers... but I'm sure they'd deny it 🤣. But Aileen & Feras winning in the challenge probably wasn't predicted, so it was pretty perfect how it worked out for them. So for viewing purposes tonight, I didn't mind the twist otherwise it was definitely Aileen going home tonight which would have been a little boring. The editing has been much better compared to previous seasons.

I was actually screaming at the TV for Feras/Aileen to split their votes lol, as I definitely knew Winna's idol would then be useless on a potential revote. Didn't think they'd actually do it! That was definitely Aileen's plan. She's definitely a smart player but can't see her winning due to numbers not on her side. Quite frustrating that Aileen basically opened up to working with them but none of them would have a bar of it despite Val saying she was open minded, (she only said it for show at tribal so Val was definitely full of it). One thing in Survivor you definitely need is to keep all options open and be open to doing voting blocks even if you have revenge in ur plans.

Merge is coming. Merge normally at 12-13 left. Feras is definitely safe for at least one more with his idol, so one immunity win should see him make it. Very high odds of that happening. Hard to see who he'd be working with over there though so it'd be interesting to see. What would be crazy is if Feras and Mark both made merge and made an alliance. Would defs love to see that but who knows.

Yeah, everything worked out perfectly for Feras tonight. Lucky boy really. I thought it must have been a shorter episode for some reason until I checked the finishing time, was clear there was some twist then.

I was a bit surprised with all the talk about the upcoming merge too, as with 15 left after tonight it seems too early. Final 3 and an 11 person jury? That seems excessive.

Very very lucky indeed.

Yeah I think Sundays is always the longer episode for the ratings I assume.

Merge has been 12-13 in the past few years. I'll have to double check but from memory, not all of those who make merge actually make the jury.

Loved the twist tonight! The producers definitely got lucky though.

One thing I am a little confused on is in the lead up, didn't they mention that someone would become a dominant force after this episode? Don't really see that...

Merge is normally 12-13 people and 9 jury members seems to be the magic number. In 2017 & 2023, a jury member was kicked out and lost their chance to vote.
