John Tyler was born in 1790 (232 years ago) and died in 1862 (160 years ago).
He was the 10th President of the USA, serving from 1841 to 1845.

So far nothing noteworthy there.

Tyler had 15 kids. While this is a lot, for rich people living in the early 1800's, this was not all together unusual.

One of those 15 kids was a guy named Lyon Gardiner Tyler Sr.
Lyon was born in 1853 and died in 1935.

Still largely unremarkable.

Lyon had 6 kids.
One of those 6 kids was a guy named Harrison Ruffin Tyler. Harrison was born in 1928 ................. and is still alive today!!!!

So John Tyler, who was born in 1790, has a grandchild that is still alive today, 232 years later. A Grandchild!!!!!!

So just think, if you are say 30 years old, and were born in 1992, your grandchild would need to still be alive in the 2224, 202 years from now (!!!!!) to match this feat!!!!

John Tyler 65 when Lyon was born, Lyon 75 when Harrison was born, Harrison still kicking today at 94!!!!

On a similar note .....

Irene Triplett born 1930, died in 2020. Irene was living on a pension for most of her life.

Yeah, so what?

The pension Irene was living on was the American Civil War Pension!!!!!

The Civil War ran from 1861 to 1865, yet here was Irene, collecting the ACW Pension 155 years after the war ended!!!!!

Her father fought for BOTH sides during the Civil War (not an all together unusual occurrence!)
Her father was 19 when the War ended, and qualified for the pension. As Irene was considered "cognitively impaired", she was entitled to receive her fathers pension, after he died. And she did, until 155 years after the Civil War ended!!!

In tonites AFL Hall of Fame, Bill Dempsey won the 1969 WAFL grand final and Simpson Medal for best on ground. Polly Farmer was Captain Coach with Bill as his vice. Two Aboriginal men holding those positions in a club in 1969 in Australia. Incredible, who ever was running the West Perth football club at the time should be proud.

Contrary to what this post might suggest, I'm not a Spice Girls fan.

The names Ginger, Baby, Scary, Sporty and Posh weren't made by design. A lazy journalist, that couldn't remember their first names, made them up, when reporting on the bands early days. The names stuck.

Emma (Baby Spice) Bunton was not an original member of the band. Her role was filled by Michelle Stephenson, then Abigail Kisand, before Emma Bunton came in to replace them.

The first Star Wars film was made in 1977.
As everyone knows, Carrie Fisher played Princess Leia, and James Earl Jones voiced Darth Vader.
They reprised those roles in a number of films.
When did they first meet on a set?

2014 on The Big Bang Theory - They had briefly met each other off set, but never met each other "properly", until they were in an episode of The Big Bang Theory, 37 years after the first Star Wars was made.
