Is butters too expensive? Is smashing it as an SC Fwd, great bye, low ownership.

Yes…no way I’m paying over $620k for a player whom has only gone over 100 five times this year….
whilst he is on hot streak and will go up over $660k this week…happy to wait for him to return to mean of scoring…

My dilemma with Oliver at this current moment, is not whether to trade him, but do I trade him for the next best midfielder with the intention of keeping them and maybe upgrading back to Oliver via a standard downgrade/upgrade at some stage. Or do I look for someone with the round 15 bye who has a good run of games coming up, that will hopefully increase in value and then in round 15 trade them back to Oliver. A pinch-hitter if you will. Pros and cons for both. Next best midfielder means they miss a week due to their bye. A pinch-hitter can be risky and costs an extra trade but you don't lose a premium to the bye rounds. Wines is an example of someone who potentially could increase in price over the next few weeks. 98 and 110 in last two and a breakeven of 50 odd. Shai Bolton another who can go big for a few games (has already done so in two of last three). As I said it is a risk but has worked in the past. Could also just take next best midfielder and then trade my worst performing round 15 player to Oliver.
Unsure which way I'm leaning at the moment and will obviously be impacted by what the club says about his injury, but there is definitely several roads one can choose do go down. Also depends on your trades/boosts left, and how your team looks obviously.

Really peeved at not bringing in Humphrey this week (R10). Had him in all week, but when W.Phillips was named, kept him and cancelled the trade, probably still should of traded Cincotta to Humphrey instead.

With this weeks trades, thinking of going Oliver to Merrett or Macrae and then maybe S.Ryan or W.Phillips to Humphrey, yeah it feels abit wrong getting Humphrey now that his price went up another 70k odd, but his output and role just look too good, and with a b-e of -54, his price will skyrocket, dpp mid/fwd is good too. Thoughts?

I'll probably go Oliver and drury to atkins and humphrey, normally a massive no/no but i will likely cop donuts or have to make sideways trades on rookies to avoid them during the bye rounds otherwise. At least this way i will make cash a little bit of cash out of atkins and humphrey and at this point they seem highly likely to play through the bye rounds given their form. Also means i have $240k in the bank to jump on probably Steele or Neale after round 12.

Anyone considering holding Oliver with a bulk of his missed games during the byes? If there was ever a time to hold a premium that Long it would be now. With 14 trades left I'm getting the feeling trading Oliver out means he won't be back in my team until 2024.

That’s fair. I’m playing with fire by going with the bare 18 for round 12, unless I trade in another player that I haven’t planned for.

I’m not so worried about the amount of premiums in at this point, just need the bodies for the bye rounds. Might drop a couple hundred over the course of the byes, but hopefully recoup it by having close to full premium by the end of them. Just need to slingshot the right rookies.

Sounds like 2-3 matches out to me. In my experience, hammy strains were at least 2 weeks (even with medical attention). Glad it’s not a tear at the very least, as that would be at least 5-6 weeks.

Yeah, I think a lot of coaches will be sidewaysing him back in round 15. (if they get rid of him)

Dangerous precedent pick the 1 in 100 as the example either way. Trades permitting its extremely likely its the correct call to cull Sheezel at some point.

All the ones I like have a bye next week, although then don't have the R14 bye. Very hard to trade when you have had Stewart, Doc and Gawn have all come back earlier than expected.

No one is mentioning Darcy Moore $541K def 3R avg of 124 and 5R Ave of 114? Passes the eye test.

He is a great player and considered him at the beginning of the year. Voss game plan to kick it directly to Moore did help his scoring this week thou. But at that price safer to just pick a proven defender.

As somebody with the minimum of 13 trades remaining - trades permitting is absolutely the operative phrase here. Still five rookies on field including him and Ashcroft, I'm preparing for the possibility that I just have to hold one or both of them.
