Who are we keeping out of Briggs, Marshall and Darcy?

Obviously Briggs out this week.
Darcy is going to plummet in price - but in the 8 games prior to the hamstring injury he was averaging 120.
Marshall been a little underwhelming this year albeit fairly consistent.
I've got the exact same three I was going to kick the can until next week but that price plummet is a good point of interest...

Briggs probably has to drop off at some stage? But he's got quite a lot of ways to score and he is also just great to watch.
I think if I decided to keep Briggs, I'd likely need to bring in Darcy Cameron for some cover as F6.
My thought process:
  1. Marshall. Clear #1. Averaging almost 110. Top three option (of the established rucks). Really solid form after a slow first month. Never seems to have injury concerns.
  2. Briggs. Done well in wins and losses. Not dropped his bundle at any point, and seems to be able to power through despite looking absolutely shattered towards the end of games. Preuss still doesn't have a timeline on a return, and Flynn hasn't been setting the VFL alight. Kingsley obviously prefers the single ruck model. Will he hit a "rookie" wall? The guy is 23 though. The problem is that he's not done making cash nor is he at a price to get you value.
  3. Darcy. Can go massive, can absolutely mess the bed. A constant injury concern. If I was picking in a bubble, he'd be #2 but that price opens up so many more options, e.g. a straight trade for Merrett. If you have him you almost have to have backup, otherwise you're copping a donut at some point.
I'm very much leaning towards Darcy out and rolling with Briggs, as you can probably tell. No way would I be hopping off Marshall at this point, he's not even entering the conversation.

Damn, now I'm considering Ridley... I'm thinking one of Ridley, Sinclair, Gulden or Nic Martin for my last premo spot. However, the Bombers boys have just played 3 bottom 4 teams in a row, so may have inflated scoring due to that.

With Sicily out for 3 it's hard to hold now. 5 games + PIT60 isn't going to be enough to beat 8 games.

Leaves some odd decisions as I think there's 5 clear best Defenders (Daicos, Dawson, Docherty, Sinclair, Stewart) and then the rest.

Honestly not sure who a preferred D6 is.... Ryan and Ridley throw in some absolute stinkers, Lloyd is unreliable. Daniel untouchable >600k, Ziebell looks cooked. Redman huge variance. Houston looks okay but toppy?

You almost think that if Hall is permanently on the outer, then it might be worth just leaving Sheezel D6? Don't like it much, but head says he'll probably average within 5-8 points of all of the above at worst.
Yeo. Also if you can get to 23 Premiums in say rnd 17, you can upgrade your PIT...something I'm looking at doing.

I don't need my PIT later - i need him now for the next 3 rounds Sicily is suspended....
Think Yeo is a one way ticket to rd 22/23 donuts. Don't see the appeal.

Is Dev Robertson worth bringing in?...Is he taking someone else's spot temporarily?
I think Brisbane have to give him a solid run at it or they will lose him to a WA team next year. Fletcher probably goes out for Clugs (Note Fages comment about being glad they gave Fletcher a game). Zorko to come back in also, not sure who goes out for him. Lohmann maybe?

$293k, 11 trades, 2 boosts left
Unsure what to do with Briggs, Sheezel and TGreen. Now thinking to keep Briggs, I was planning to trade Green to Oliver and keep Sheezel but given his return to form have decided better to upgrade Sheezel.
My preferred option is:
R15: Ford > Buller, Sicily > Stewart, both done already then Sheezel > Oliver
R16: Cincotta > Rookie, Johnson > Rookie, which just gives me enough for SMitchell to Caleb Daniel after his bye

If Oliver not named this week thinking NMartin or Parish. This leaves me D6 (or R2) to fill for full Premo upgrading Atkins, and 18 players R15.
I did consider Mitchell to CDarcy for ruck cover and Atkins > Yeo but seems higher risk/less reward. Any thoughts please

For mine your def is done with Sheezel. Your forwards are done. Your rucks are done. Focus on Mitchell Atikins Cincotta to Oliver and your choice of M8. Perhaps Marshall to English if you get some coin off the bench at some point with your trade glut! Nice work.

Sitting on:

Ashcroft -> Worrell via Chesser DPP
English -> Neale
Ford -> DCam

2 trades left and $15.1k ITB.

Much prefer English/Briggs if he didn't have the bye this week. Still not sure I can stomach selling English..

Team's completed with Worrell D6/Melican D7, Cripps M8/whichever crumb is selected at M9 and JCam F6/Fyfe F7.

Edit:
- This is such a dud trade if Gawn secures the FWD DPP in a couple of weeks.
- Still playing around with the options to try and lock in Sinclair, Neale plus a 102k player like Maric.

Just think Briggs will hit the wall eventually, the scores have been great so far but hes still showing those slight periods where he looks just about spent, would require a huge effort to keep going solo for the rest of the year.

Prefer trusting the guys that have done it for years on end and are seasoned and conditioned for it.

Thinking about off loading some of my deadwood for possibly some more upper class deadwood.

Ford to Sheldrick
Cincotta to Yeo
S Mitchell to Keays

Doubt I'm going to get to full premium status this season so going bargain hunting and crossing the fingers.
Going to struggle this round but should have some bench cover for the run home. (7 trades remaining.)

Yeo vs Keays vs Adams

Or 2 of them and include Ziebell in the outs?

Or something completely different?
Actually there's a million in the price range, including Salem, Heppell, Langford, Perryman (except on the bye), Jarod Berry, Rowbottom, Shuey, Hawkins, Shiel, D. Martin, Prestia, Hewett, Holmes.

It's a who's who of traps and ex supercoach guns.....
