I've thrown caution to the wind and gone with a Free Hit..
Not sure about throwing caution to it, but I figure you have to be three sheets to the wind to use it now.

How many more points do people think Haaland will score over Sterling this week? o_O
13.

Ouch .. so close .. as I had it at 11. I figure MC are likely to score an extra goal over Chelsea, and the odds look like Haaland is three times more likely to score over Sterling, but both teams a good chance to score multiple goals. Score assist between them isn't too different with Haaland slightly in front. If Haaland falls a goal short, that brings it back to 3 points, but if he gets an exrta one that brings it out to 19. To bet on a player falling a goal short over scoring an extra one ... that might be the question!

I've thrown caution to the wind and gone with a Free Hit...i figure given my 3 Arsenal & Man U players its a decent time to use it as i'd rather not transfer Rashford/Bruno/Saka out for good. Ive got to decide between Mbeumo & Wissa/Jackson, ill probably field Mbeumo ahead of Wissa.

Obviously im new to this game so while i think it might be early to use a chip, im happy to experiment and play the 'fixtures game' for this round.

Can't say there's anything there that I really dislike.

Lol ... but you didn't answer my question! :p
Is the question, "Are you non compos mentis?"

Given the high ownership of Haaland, and the fact 100% of those will have the captaincy on him, it's season suicide to go without him.
Not captaining him is bad enough if he goes huge, but to not have him at all just doesn't need to happen.
If anyone can go from your FOR, it's Mo.

Haaland could lose more cash, but let's not forget this game is about pts.
Cash can be made elsewhere, anytime. Lost pts can never be recovered.

Playing around with the good ol use a boost to grab a player the week before and use a boost a week later to trade them out. Could Sterling over Morris via Estupinan to Van de Ven be worthwhile?

I have just had another look and the highest ranked team without Haaland is =53rd position, which is 39 points behind me. @Dazza , in first, holds a two point lead, and assuming that my decision to go rogue backfires, what is the worst case scenario? 30-40 points lost if Haaland is captain? Maybe I drop 30-40 positions? Is that really season suicide given such a move is unlikely to create a big cash generation loss?

I am not saying that it is the right move, and am definitely not set on going rogue, I am just looking for a good reason not to. However, as I see it, the upside could well outweigh the downside, so why not take a punt?

Well Sterling has a 20 in his cycle now, and plays two weak teams that historically, he's done really well against.
He's a great bet for pts and therefore cash gen. Sterling with 5 pts will make about $775k, and has two potential weeks of gains.

Morris on the other hand scored a PK, so without another goal, will get 4-5 pts and make you $800k.
He then drops his 14 from the cycle, and will then can potential lose cash.

I have both VdV and Sterling, and I'm quite confident about them.

Haaland's PKM cost him 15 pts (1 SOT, 8 Goal, 6 PKM). If he'd scored, he'd have one of the leading scores.
It's just luck (or bad luck), that he hasn't done much better. You just don't have to bet $5 on a donkey to win $1.
There's better value bets elsewhere. Yes he has a high BE of 29, but he can easily get it, and then you lose the pts, don't make much cash, and waste 2 transfers in 2 weeks. If you're forced to transfer him in the following week, you then could lose an opportunity elsewhere that others can take. It's just a high risk, low reward bet. FUL gave away something like xGE 3.4x, so City could get 3-4 and he'll likely be involved in 1-2 of those.

You also have to factor that Chelsea played Luton last week. NF have also proven to be a far better side than they were last year as well, even away from home.

Fulham are in disarray atm, following Mitrovic's departure and Palhinha now looks to be going too. Yes, they drew with Arsenal last week, but Man City are another beast, and I suspect Fulham to be somewhat inconsistent this season.
