Phoenix desperately trying to get any depth they can.

Seems like they need a backup 5 but not sure if Bol Bol is the guy. However, if they get him on a cheap deal which they're likely going to, it will be a decent depth signing. Nothing more.

Sixers match the offer sheet from the Jazz to Paul Reed.

This hopefully means Paul Reed will spend more time as a PF with backup 5s like Montrezl and Mo Bamba in the wings.

Lillard only wants to go to Miami, despite having interest from other championship contenders.

Lillard signed a 2-year extension worth $122 just last year. He got paid and wants to dip, but it will seriously handicap any team under the new CBA AFAIK. However, Dame wanted Portland to build him a roster and it never came to fruition.

Cronin is right to play hard ball though.

I can only imagine the kind of money this deal is worth. Politics aside, Nike really fumbled the bag not signing Kyrie as this guy's sneaker sales just go nuclear every time they drop so hopefully ANTA can keep the quality in design and performance going.

Just got through the NBA draw for the upcoming season ....

- it looks like this for me (round game counts) but will confirm once the comp is opened ...
- 80 games per team for the season down from 82 in previous seasons ...

Those two games for each team, to be played the week of Dec. 4, will be determined based on the results of Group Play games in the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament. The Group Play game schedule (Nov. 3-28) was announced on Aug. 15."
