Doesn’t Darcy need to play 6 games before consideration for DPP changes someone correct me if I’m wrong.
Definitely won't need all 6, but I can't remember what it's changed to this year. Either 4/6 or 5/6 before the DPP changes.
I think it was minimum 4 last season but not sure if that changed this year

Only 3 day turnaround for supercoaches. I might need to be managed.
Same. Might need a trade to a better squad as well.

First upgrade of the season:
Windsor > Darcy
Reid > Flanders

Have enough to grab Heeney, but Flanders should (hopefully) score more over the next 3 rounds with his bye behind him. My forwards are where I’m weakest in rookies, so wanted to shore it up in a full 22 player round.

An uninjured ‘premium’ mid that doesn’t score enough to count during a best 18 round is a sackable offence in my book.

With that in mind, it’s likely a goodbye and farewell to LDU. Green likely to replace him. LDU could come good but I see Green as a top 3 mid and it feels like it’s now or never for that particular trade.

Also likely to move on Rankine for Jordan Clark and use my first boost to trade Howes for Sam Darcy with Howes likely to make just 23k more with a couple of 60’s up to his bye.

Need Hore to get named and avoid the sub vest for the above to occur.

Wait and see how Clark fares today but at this point in time I have 3 main concerns.

Coffield, Billings, and Libba. Don’t want to boost so will have to decide which two go.

Coffield obviously needs to go eventually. Draper and Brown are the two replacement options this week. Like Brown more, but it’s tougher when the price factor is considered. Could wait for Worner although not sure of his JS when Chapman returns. Otherwise Sexton, Roberts, and McKercher can all fill that bench spot from round 7.

Billings was a failure of a trade. Should hold price and has a good matchup in my opinion this week against Adelaide. Not a must trade by any stretch. He’s the route to Darcy though if I want him, but I’m not sure how’s he’s going to go after that first price rise. He was the lowest scorer for the Dogs yesterday (bar Poulter who was sub) and Lobb dominated in the VFL with 5 goals, 20 hitouts, and 15 disposals. The week before he got 4 goals, 24 hitouts, and 13 disposals. I think the Dogs should persist with Darcy but I don’t trust Bevo at all.

Libba is now a real concern. Faintly considered moving him on for Butters last week. This week he got subbed out at 3QT and felt a bit “ginger”. This is not a good sign so early into the season for someone above the age of 30. He also only had 47% CBAs (likely would’ve been around 60-65% if he wasn’t subbed). He’s shown in the past that CBAs are vital if he is to score well. Could be a good opportunity to jump on a Steele or Miller while there is still value to be had.
Leading the way for now is:

Libba > Miller
Coffield > Brown

Early thoughts are:

Jordon, Reid -> Darcy, Miller.

Feels a week or two early to cull Reid but he has one of the highest break evens from the rookies I have and I don’t have many players ripe for the trade this week. But weighing up a few other premiums, or even just Jordon to Clarke from one trade..

Debating another trade boost (used 1 last week)!

OUT: Howes, Reid, Mannagh
IN: T.Brown, Darcy, M.King

I missed Khamis, Dempsey & Khamis on the bubble and will potentially hurt long term, but here we are.

Not overly convinced on Brown or Darcy with scoring or job security, but they’re the best 2 options I’ve got. King is probably a biased pick, but he’s been pushing much further up the ground and scored well against 2 very good defenses. Leaves me with $300 cash in the kitty!

Ranked 2712. Biggest concern is no Gawn… do I wait until he’s had a bye or just rubbish my King trade and get him in for Marshall? Thanks

Current thoughts with the quick turn around time are:

Rozee to Touk (premo correction, neither him nor Wines gone to heights I had hoped)

Coffield to J Draper (however feeling uneasy on his JS)

Still $160k itb but not enough for any meaningful upgrade yet

Used both boosts so want to refrain from a 3rd and give the cows another week to moo, however Mannagh to Darcy is tempting, although I don’t trust Bevo at all

Teams already a dumpster. Current thinking
Dawson (should booted last week) > Steele
Billings > McKay (think will be top 8 this year with some HO to keep his floor higher)

Out: Rankine, Owens, Jordon
In: Green, Flanders, Darcy

I would’ve liked to see how Rankine and Owens turned out but have lost patience. Probably wasted boost but will make sc a bit more enjoyable
