Brutally unlucky if you had a top tier VC from the first game!

Unfortunately my keeper donut is Rathore, who is locked out, so I have to take Reddy or Salt off the bench to bank Narine. Small price to pay though.

To come: four of Curran, Rohit, Bumrah, Dube and QDK. Currently have QDK off field but I'm very tempted to make it Bumrah instead the way the season is going...

Is it too late to bring in Narine? His role is questionable and has been lucky the last few rounds. Unfortunately, he doesn't fit my criteria of a pod, so will have to let him go. Congrats to all that have him and either vc'd or captained. 🤔

Quick back of the envelope - Narine will be about 1.095m with a BE around -20

Next three are RCB, Punjab and Delhi, all at home, and then a double

Just checked, obviously we have no captain stats but a whole 48 of the top 50 had Narine prior to the start of the round.

I noticed early doors that a number of the top teams were just playing Kohli as a permanent C so there's still a chance of making up some hefty ground... Lots of very takeable VC scores in the first game too, although only Kohli and Klaasen were really represented among top teams.

Narine has the best role in the whole competition at the moment. Feel very lucky to have gotten a 206 as captain. Need the others to make an impact and I could see a nice rise.

As much as I wanted to, I didn't put the C on Narine because I wanted to stay a bit flexible this round to make decisions later once I had more of an idea of how the round was unfolding. This is one of those occasions where staying flexible to minimize bad luck has come back to bight me! At least Narine is in my team, so depending how my alternate captain goes, hopefully the damage of missing the 206 bonus points can be reduced.
