Happy with this i think. NTF have a fairly easy draw for the first 3 rounds hence Milenkovic & Sels. I could doqwngrade Szoboszlai and upgrade my keeper but i think id like to line up like this.

Obviously less money will be invested in defence as opposed to mids but i like having at least some $ invested there. A little bit of unkown surrounding Liverpool this season but i still think TAA will have a fairly attacking role, whether in the mids or as a defender.

0.51M leftover

Might pivot to Tielemans/Wood/Vicario/Harwood-Bellis instead of Szoboszlai/Rogers/Sels/Maatsen. Not sold on Rogers and i think Wood has slightly more upside than Szoboszlai given their early draws. Vicario is probably a better long term option but from rounds 3 - 6 has a tough draw. I still think he is a reasonable upgrade from Sels, particularly because im already invested in NTF defence with Milenkovic.

I think the main spots im still deciding on are keeper, D3-5, M4 & 5 & F3.

In other words, im all but committed to TAA/Milenkovic, Foden/Havertz/Nkunku & Haaland/Isak. The other spots in my team may change a lot but i dont have that much $ to spend beyond those picks. F3 is the spot that seems to be changing the most in my team.

I like Salah but i just cant form a team im really happy with around him - unless i drop TAA which i dont want to do. I like Watkins but not sure he is worth the $ with his first 2 games...but i acknowledge he could be great from round 3-6. I like Rogers but there is uncertainty regarding his position and then Armstrong is a popular cheapie but im not convinced he is a great pick...id rather a F3 that i can play against what i deem weak opposition rather than take up a spot on my bench. Not 100% ill fade him, but its looking like i will. Wood i really like for the first 3 games if he starts & even rounds 5-10 are okay. After that, their draw gets much tougher.

Anyway, ill try not to change my team too much from now until close to first lockout. Like i said, ive locked in most of my team $ wise, its just a matter of finding a combination i really like with the extra $. I have experimented with Palmer/Foden/Havertz/Nkunku mid but i just cant commit to it given how my defence then becomes too weak. I really want the security of a TAA/Gvardiol/Gabriel type and TAA is my favourite of those.

Haaland and Isak have never left my team. Even when i experiment i just cant bring myself to drop either. Ive dropped Foden/Havertz when experimenting but i keep going back to them too. I am not opposed to trading Isak early in the season but 4 out of the first 5 rounds are great matchups.

I'll continue to tinker but i think im getting very close. Might try and give it 3-4 days and then come back with a fresh perspective. That said, i think the foundation of my team is set.

This could work out well, assuming transfers go ahead.

If I was going to go a $3.9m attacker, I'd rather ESR than A. Armstrong.

Salah in for Foden looks a better move. Cheaper and has the fixtures, and had a proper rest.

Let's me bring in TAA also. Hopefully Pool under Slot is still as good.

I could go MGW instead of ESR, and downgrade TAA, but TAA is top D5, so would save a transfer.
MGW could get the points and make the cash though, and allow me a flip to a top M5 in one.

Tempted to invest in lots of Newcastle, Liverpool & NTF assets. This team has the highest projected score of any of my drafts. I dont really factor that into my planning but i find it interesting to monitor. I also think this is the best balanced team ive made with the 2 expensive defenders. If Livramento looks likely to play i can always downgrade Burn, but im not sure where i would then use the cash to upgrade.

I don't understand the love for Winks. Doesn't score, and I don't think he's a misc pts beast.
Ndidi used to be, so I'd rather go for him of the two. But many other better options, slightly more expensive, but more attacking.
Just a cheapie that will play but definitely understand your reservations. I won't have him in my starting 11 and if I can find some more $ he will likely be replaced.

I think Dan Burn and Szoboszlai are your expendables. They're neither premiums or cash cows.

Mavididi was next best after Dewsbury-Hall for LEI, and Pereira is a misc pts beast.
He'll match Burn, if not beat him at the beginning.
Pts and cash. Can't beat that. Injury is my only concern. Hopefully he doesn't break down too soon.

Gone with this team now. Constant changes but i think Im getting close. Experimented with Foden-less teams and many changes to my backline and F3 but im bullish on Wood and my backline behind TAA will be whoever looks like having a chance of attacking returns and/or a favourable run fixture wise.

Core of most iterations will be Haaland, Salah, Newcastle forward, Eze, cheap goalkeepers under $4m (ideally from promoted sides).

Unsure on Gibbs-White but the fixture is the main allure. Would likely flick in RD3 and use a boost to chase the best breakevens that I have missed in the mids and down back. Hall could be a sneaky option for those wishing to grab a piece of Newcastle in defence. Forwards will likely be a three prong attack as I would like to avoid a promoted forward and unsure on Rogers/Muniz.

Cheap down back is likely the go, to chase early clean sheets or low breakevens to then identify the best defenders. Maddison under strong consideration with Havertz and Gibbs-White but otherwise little interest in mids between the Gibbs-White and Harvey Barnes price range.
