Double: M Stoinis, T Curran (C), B Webster, H McKenzie, A Zampa, T Rogers, J Brown and T Seifert/W Sutherland
Single: J Richardson, C Overton, J Edwards and S Abbott
Selected Tye over Connolly as I wanted to wait a round on Scorchers batters and wanted to start at least two Scorchers bowlers. Behrendorff likely to make it three next round. McKenzie over Milne was a tough decision for the second Stars bowling avenue behind Curran with not much lost yet. Harper with the E and the decision to make as whether to change Sutherland to Seifert or switch Edwards to Sutherland allowing both Seifert and Sutherland but would prefer not to have five Renegades and only one Sixer.

For those feeling a bit down just saw a post where a coach had both Connolly & Richardson on the bench to loop but then forgot to put the E on either of them 😅
Well done to those that took Connolly (E) , would be locking that in , don't think too many players from a side on a DGR go 100+ let alone many from the Renegades.
I will take my Turner's 47 over Harper's 11* and swing Doran to bat line and bring Seifert in as WK 1.
Might swap Doran to Scott , DPP link with Allen & Overton might be handy (still likely to fade Short Round 2 😱)
Just leave Harper @ WK2 all season
So CA advise Webster not to bowl due to a Test match beginning on the 26th which he might not even be part of.

Does that mean he is getting recalled to the Test Squad ?
Do they even bowl at practice anymore (fully understand it wouldn't be high intensity)

I think I would go with the Konstas option, unless you’re very bullish on him (in which case an Edwards type to a 39k loop may still be worth considering). I think it costs you a DGR player down the track, but it seems cleaner (eg you’re not relying on Johnson to regain fitness on your preferred timeline), and I think having an FD with a good draw will prove pretty valuable.
You have the bigger start being only 1 down.
