Happy enough with Short, especially after a poor hit to start. Overton picked up junk. Thornton bowled a great spell, only 1 wicket doesn’t do him justice. Stoinis okay, was hoping for some more bowling action. Curran terrible but saved the score somewhat with junk time runs.

Harper (58) will be taken over Bazley (16+game). Means I only have 6 DGR players. Was supposed to have 9-10 this round but carnage has prevented me.

A very sensible decision to short Short. How much propaganda were we subjected to about how not playing Short would be season ending? How has that worked out everyone? How many less points did Overton or Thornton make for so much less money?

Still got one more game to go buddy, don’t count them chickens before they hatch. If Short got one more wicket you were looking at a 100+ score there…

Overton (V), Thornton, Stoinis (E), Curran, Bazley, McKenzie (DNP). Probably likely to take both the V & E but not sure yet.

I was going Doggett until he wasn't selected so pivoted to Bazley, who I didn't really want, because I didn't think he would bowl much and didn't want to change my Scorcher recruits. In hindsight I could have gone DShort but wasn't up for that gamble. At least Bazley has a low BE but not sure he holds his spot for next game.

Death-riding MShort is no fun especially when the (lack of) Stars seem determined to play all around his straight balls but think the Short faders take a narrow points victory after the first game.

Bazley last 4 t20 games 0/40 off 3 overs, 0/57 off 3 overs, 0/42 off 3 overs, and 0/19 off 1 over. He's an absolute spud of a bowler, makes it even more bizarre that they didn't pick doggett. They have just Thornton and Overton as reliable quicks. Wouldn;t be surprised if Bazely gets dropped for Dogget next game.

Lolz, i faded short last year and it ruined my season immediately. So started him this year and he's been poor given his price tag, can;t win.

I agree re Bazley’s bowling but not sure it makes sense to drop somebody who didn’t bowl a ball for another who should bowl 3 or 4. Who loses those 3 or 4 overs from tonight?
