2/266 - Overton (6 SI)
44 per SI

Traded Webster to Scott last minute and plonked him in the Flex position.
Finding it hard to keep up to date with all the INs and OUTs so decided to sort out my team tomorrow.
Only the 2 Strikers (Scott omitted for now) so will put my faith in the Scorchers bowling attack for the round.
What do you need to know guru ? just reach out and ask at any time

You and the rest of the crew do a fantastic job posting the latest news on our site for time poor people like me.
It's just that this time of the year is notoriously busy for me and I'm only doing 'fly-by' to the site prior to start of games to get the playing XI.
The days of sitting by my computer waiting to execute on the many trade scenarios I have once teams drop are well and truly over.
I still enjoy and love playing the game but have to adapt to changing circumstances.

345 from 6 SI. Won’t take Curran.

Rattled at team lists with No Doggett. Decided to miss the strikers cheapies which appears okay at the moment.

As it currently stands, 5 scorchers in play tomorrow, hopefully an opportunity to make up ground.

That is sad to hear , I used to love seeing and reading your trade plans rounds in advance , absolute art form.

Hopefully you adapt and have a enjoyable , successful season.

1/208 Overton VC

Trades: Doggett > Scott (E)
Milne > Tye (place holder)

Doggett’s omission led to a chaotic scramble in the minutes leading into lockout. Had Weatherald pencilled in as a trade target but switched to Tye after getting cold feet at the death.

With Abbott and J Rich already in my side, coinciding with the Renegades bye, I’ll have to be savvy with the remaining trades ahead of next round.

Unfortunately I missed this pre lockout - how did you land? Bit of a late panic for quite a few of us, it seems!
Unfortunately, I was out for Christmas drinks for work yesterday evening/night and was tinkering around with my team while I was there…

The plan was:
Out: Webster, O’Neill & Rogers
In: Behrendorff, Morris & Turner

unfortunately I mustn’t have saved my trades or had bad reception because when I went to check my score I had all trades remaining and Webster with the VC again…

Oh well it was a good season while it lasted :ROFLMAO:

Salty owner here. How the stars have played Webster is a absolute joke. With that pathetic lineup of geriatric bowlers he still cannot get overs. Embarrassing.

Now with the Scorchers 2 juicy fixtures do i pass on VC Overton.?????????
I am contemplating the same thing here. I had Pope and Weatherald, who didn't perform that well, so do I take a risk on Dorff or Allen?

So look at your options

1 game down of the round so surely hardly all is not lost

If you still have trades remaining , MR - > PS

or get ahead of the pack and bring in some BH/SS players in advance

Make sure you leave enough players to trade out the following Round though

Overton & Short VC owners didn't blow you out the water last night so find a Scorcher you like and captain them if still possible

Thanks, Herbie! You’re right in saying that not all is lost and I may have been a tad over dramatic saying my seasons over haha!

Webster’s score of 3 hurts a bit but if he somehow plays both games next round, I may be able to gain the points back!

Bazley on the bench with no emergency hurts a bit but Stoinos out scored him by 30 and Sutherland is my other onfield option who hopefully can continue with his form.

I’m thankful I started Short and Overton now because I’d be really kicking myself if I didn’t have them for this round.

Anywho, the trades I’ve done this round are:
Out: Rogers, O’Neill & Zampa
In: Morris (C), Hobson & Turner

Hopefully Morris can dominate with the ball and Hobson and Turner have a similar output to their round one game!

Just keep an eye on Hobson with Inglis in for this one and unsure if they drop Hurst for Inglis.

If Perth bat first, I'd be tempted to do something crazy and C Allen. Not sure on the bowlers though.... Sometimes Bellerive can be flat and if that happens today, there might be some high scores (actual not SC).
