Bartlett with games at Optus and Perth looks juicy, although playing Perth and the Sixers are two of the tougher matchups.

Maxwell has a tough matchup against the 6ers in Sydney and then the Thunder in Canberra.

Hosein against the Stars at the SCG and Heat in Brisbane.

Yeah I want them all... And it's not just the the big 3 that you want to get in. Potentially Edwards / Abbott / Phillippe / Tall Paul / plus any number of podish options.
Good summary

I might need to get busy on Big Bash Board over the next few days looking at different options.

So many choices

Excellent start to the season.

Now for the tough deicison of whether to take on Short again or not.

Currently:
Out: B Webster, H McKenzie, T Rogers and F Allen
In: J Behrendorff, C Connolly, J Bazley and H Thornton

Xmas party yesterday so no movement to trades and catching up on news that may affect next round, etc.

1/252
Double: C Overton (C), J Bazley, H Thornton, J Behrendorff, A Tye, J Richardson and C Connolly
Single: S Harper, S Abbott, J Edwards, W Sutherland and T Seifert

Looped Harper thanks to Doran. Stoinis and Curran on the bench this round. Two wickets too many for M Short so far but thankful Overton was able to keep pace. Expect Bazley to drop out of my 11 but was struggling to find a replacement for McKenzie around that price range.

"Test cricket is obviously the goal," Richardson said. "I'd love to play Test cricket again. I think it's difficult having had a taste of it and then having that sort of ripped away.

"I think it's nice to have goals, but I'm obviously not there at the moment, so it would be unrealistic for me to think about international cricket. What's realistic is what's in front of me right now, and that's playing Big Bash cricket and domestic cricket for WA.

"But I'm hoping to get back there."

I'm hoping he plays both matches in an effort to prove his fitness and that he can handle a heavier bowling load. I expect that he'll just play the first game though.

Does anyone have a view/any info on why Dorf’s role seemed to be different in the first match (bowling more death overs)?
Dorff has really worked on his death bowling the last few years, added another string to his bow. Scorchers have much more confidence in him bowling at the end of innings now, last season I recall him being used ahead of AJ who is near the end of his career.

I think Dorff will normally bowl 2 of the first 4 & 2 of the last 4 - absolutely ideal.

Best option for under 83k? Looking at Davies, Turner, Renshaw and Wood but don’t really love any of them

If anyone needs a somewhat cheaper option, if Perth bat first, Agar may be worth a look.

Takes as many wickets per innings as Dorf and Tye in that scenario, scores more runs, and is cheaper. He also has better matchups based on history.

I will likely still go Dorf punting on a death overs role, but am slightly tempted.
Both games away from Perth adds to the appeal.
