Not sure we’ve seen a bigger fortune swing this season so far than that dropped catch on Phillipe.

Bartlett and Walter captainers miss out on immediate points and bowling at sixers another other wicket down.

Phillipe owners get close to an extra 100 points with him cashing in on his life.

Unfortunately for me, on the wrong side of it.
Missed Johnson, Dwarsh, Short but Philippe gave me a little respectability.

Philippe outstanding. Murphy excellent and a big surprise. Overton brilliant from one game.

Everything else was disappointing, particularly Bartlett as Captain and the injuries to Edwards and Curran. Trading M Short probably not the best move despite the incoming price drop.

M Short a lock to come in next round and then however much I have left to spend will dictate who else comes in.

All out for 897 (Walter)

Lowest score for the season. Would have thought with 3 teams on the DGR, would be able to get a big score. Philippe & Johnson the two biggest misses. I actually only lost 6 points between my 50/50 of Maxwell (77) + Johnson (153) vs Short (120) + Kerr (104). By keeping Short and trading in a donut I was able to gain 2 extra DGRs for next round so I'm calling that a huge win. Tall Paul a big disappointment compared to last season. Will have 7 DGRs ready for next round so will aim for 10 DGR after trades in what I'm hoping will be my best DGR round.

862 Walter

Game 1: 0/241; Maxwell (v not taken), Dwarsh, Curran, Stoinis, Kerr, Edwards, Shaw (e)
Game 2: 0/109; Renshaw, Walter (c), Peirson, Banton
Game 3: 1/131; Overton, Thornton (excluded), Bazley (bench)
Game 4: 3/44; Maxwell, Stoinis, Curren (DNP)
Game 5: 7/337; Dwarsh, Kerr, Walter (c), Peirson, Banton, Renshaw, Shaw (bench), Edwards (DNP)

Feels like I am just clinging on rather than marching forward. Kerr gamble paid off as did boosting Dwarshius for Connolly. Taking Walter over Maxy for C only cost me a point. Lost games from Curran and Edwards (like most). Johnson and Phillippe the misses.

Lazy tonight , Top 10 for the Round

Duckett 210
Philippe 198
Vince 186
Johnson 163
Dwarshuis 148
Billings 147 single
Murphy 132
Overton 131 single
Short , M 120 single
Kerr 104

Lots of names I wasn't expecting (but my judgement is way off this season)

Moving round

Now those who managed to hold the likes of Overton , Seifert , Short , Sutherland move into Round 4 with a big advantage

The cream will start rising

4/709 13 SI- assuming Edwards gets up since he’s in the squad, 5 down if not

Stoinis 27
Curran DNP

Stoinis likely goes next round with the bowling role not secure. Curran obviously goes too with the injury.

Walter C, Dwarshuis, Edwards 🤞, Peirson, Johnson, Kerr, and Renshaw to come.
1042 Walter

Dwarshuis 102 (148)
Kerr 69 (104)
Walter C 51x2 (76x2)
Peirson 34 (45)
Johnson 15 (163)
Renshaw 11 (77)
Edwards DNP

Dwarshuis and Kerr excellent. Edwards not playing this one probably helped me as he had a very high ownership anyway, and it allowed these 2, Kerr in particular, to get better overs. Walter solid. At the end of the day him, Maxi, and Bartlett were the main 3 captains and all did poorly so no significant damage. Peirson poor, one of the worst 24s I’ve seen in a while. Johnson and Renshaw quiet after big games in game 1.

Think I’m well above par so hopefully I get a healthy jump in the rankings.

A disappointing 46.7 PSI after a few hits and misses like many others. I am glad that Walter dragged himself within a point of Maxwell in the end.

Well done to those with big scores. It could be a bit of a moving round with some score variance around.

Trying not to think about how much I lost not backing my gut on Dwarshuis VC but instead how well a lot of other things went. Philippe big tick, holding Short big tick, not chasing Maxy a tick... even having Patterson in my side probably isn't a bad thing now.

But Bartlett is a real kick in the teeth because I had to trade out Sutherland to get him...

Bit of a dog of a round after being in a relatively good position cash wise. Now I’m going to be scrambling to afford Sutherland and Short back next round. Will be able to do it, but may have to burn the 2nd boost to get a 3rd target that I’m interested in. Hoping the rankings drop isn’t too significant, but I’m likely to be in the 4-6k range at a first guess.
