What I’m more upset about is they didn’t take the surge that over. Would’ve pushed Mir’s overs further back. When Walter was hitting them ok and on strike that was a crocker of a choice not to.

IMO the question he should have been asking was do I want to be in for the surge. If yes, then a swipe across the line to a ball spinning away is probably not the greatest shot. High risk, especially if you don't get to the pitch of the ball.

Agree, they should have taken it.

He probably could’ve tried to hit it a bit straighter, but the way he plays and the size of the fella, that was somewhat of a step hit for him.

Feel like the way the bats are made these days, batsmen get rewarded for hitting balls they are not quite to the pitch to. Seems like they hit those particular deliveries even further.
