How do the test guys coming back affect BBL teams?
Strikers - Carey comes back and takes the gloves (hurts Ollie Pope), slots into the top 6 somewhere in place of Weatherald? or Bazley (pushing Overton down to 7)?
Heat - Uzzie for Jack Wood, Marnus for Munro/McSweeney (only one game, so probably not to relevant)
Hurricanes - N/a
Renegades - N/a
Stars - Webster in for Rogers, with Harper to open? Webster at 7 (or 3
?). Will he bowl 4 overs (taking overs from Stoinis/Maxwell)? Probably depends on Lawrence/Curran.
Scorchers - as per last night
Sixers - Smith in as a straight swap for Vince. Abbott in for Kerr? then a straight swap for Hosein?
Thunder - Konstas comes in for Weibgen (opens, Davies back to middle order)?
Strikers: M. Short - D. Short - Lynn - Carey (WK) - O. Pope - Ross - Overton - B. Doggett - H. Thorton - C. Boyce - L. Pope
That's how I see them lining-up. Overton can bat 7, and if it's like 10 ball to go, they can always move him up. Overs likely to be Thorton and Doggett 4. Overton likely 4 too. And then I'd assume Boyce and L. Pope each get 4, but if someone get's some smack, M. Short likely to bowl then
Heat: Usman - Alsop (WK) - Labs - Renshaw - Bryant - Walter - Neser - Bartlett - Johnson - Swepson - Kuhnemann
Like you said not overly relevant, but could still play some form of a factor though
Stars: Harper (WK) - Duckett - Stoinis - Webster - Maxwell - Cartwright - Curran - Mir - Paris - Steketee - Siddle
Overs wise it'll be difficult to tell. The Stars do have 5 up-front bowlers (Curran - Mir - Paris - Steketee - Siddle), but assuming 1 is expensive, one of Stoin, Maxi and Webster will bowl. However if Maxi or Webster are invited to the tour of Sri Lanka expect them not to bowl (I'm mainly talking about Webster, idk if Maxi gets a call). So proceed with some caution around them
Sixers: Smith - Philippe (WK) - Patterson - Henriques - Silk - Edwards - Dwarshuis - Abbott - Hosein - Bird - Murphy
There's a world where Patterson doesn't play, and Edwards moves to 3. However assuming Kerr comes in at 6 (Edwards at 3), I doubt Edwards gets many if any overs... Abbott will bowl 4. I assume the same with Dwarshuis and Bird. The spinners could get some tap, which would allow Edwards to bowl and over or two. But they've also got Kerr..
Thunder: Warner - Konstas - Gilkes - Davies - Billings (WK) - Rutherford - Green - Christian - Andrews - Ferguson - Agar
If tonight get's rained out, Ferg (and I believe Rutherford) won't be here for the next round. So they should be able to sign 2 Internationals, which I'd imagine straight up replace them.
That's how I'd imagine teams impacted by Test players line-up, but some orders may be off (Ie Stars, maybe Webster is at 3?). So yeah kinda hope that helps
