Got very lucky last round having Smith, Maxi and David and have come up the rankings a bit.

Any feedback as always greatly appreciated.

Maxi --> Short
Connolly --> Wade
Green --> Meredith

Have gone wade to bring in a keeper loop for later rounds, going short for the point potential and then Meredith for 4 canes and he has been consistent (and within price range)

I'd trade Kerr bowling on a road over Green on a likely two pace showgrounds.

Perth Scorchers will hand a debut to exciting teenage quick Mahli Beardman with their season on the line against Sydney Thunder on Monday night.
The West Australian understands the 19-year-old will play his first match for the club, with Jhye Richardson ruled out.
Cricket Australia and Richardson have chosen to send the paceman for surgery on a troublesome shoulder this week., which means he will miss the final two games of the Scorchers’ regular season and any finals.
Lance Morris missed Saturday’s high-scoring defeat to Sydney Sixers because he was managed by Cricket Australia and is likely to return to the side.
Beardman’s debut means struggling veteran Andrew Tye looks set to miss out.
The pace ace from the State’s South West has played just one one-day game for Western Australia but was a bolt-from-the-blue selection in the national squad that toured the United Kingdom for white-ball matches in October.
He earned his first Scorchers contract this summer after being named player-of-the-final and starring at last year’s Under-19 World Cup.

Does anyone know if McDermott is fit to play?
delayed Squad announcement 🤔
McDermott replaced in squad by Jake Doran.
Hurricanes Squad v Renegades

After sowing up their finals spot for the first time since BBL|11, the Hurricanes play their last home game of the BBL|14 regular season against the Melbourne Renegades tomorrow night.

Thanks to an Adelaide Strikers win over the Brisbane Heat on Saturday night, the Hurricanes have guaranteed their spot in the finals, and a win tomorrow would see at least one final being played at Ninja Stadium next week.

Strong performances from Riley Meredith (2/30) with the ball, and Tim David (68* off 38 balls) helped the Hurricanes to a huge win in the inaugural Ponting Foundation Game, where vital funds and awareness were raised for Tasmanian families, whose children have cancer. Chasing a tough total of 164 against the Sydney Thunder, the Hurricanes managed to reach the Thunder's target with 19 balls to spare.

The Renegades come into this matchup on the bottom of the BBL Ladder but defeated the Hurricanes in their first match of BBL|14 in Geelong where the Purple Army were unfortunately bowled out for 74 runs.

Ben McDermott is being managed for this match after injuring his hamstring, while Nathan Ellis passed concussion protocols and is available for selection.

Coming into the squad for McDermott is Jake Doran, who last played for the Hurricanes in BBL|09, and will be raring for an opportunity to take on the Melbourne Renegades.

The Hobart Hurricanes fixture against the Melbourne Renegades begins at 7.30 pm tomorrow night, fifteen minutes later than the usual starting time for previous matches.

The Hurricanes fourteen-man squad consists of:

Nathan Ellis (c)
Marcus Bean
Nikhil Chaudhary
Tim David
Paddy Dooley
Jake Doran
Peter Hatzoglou
Caleb Jewell
Chris Jordan (O/S)
Riley Meredith
Mitch Owen
Billy Stanlake
Matthew Wade
Charlie Wakim

I have the same ins. I don’t mind looping Connolly if you can swing it.

Hmm I wonder if that practically means more overs for Connolly?

Nice

Doran could cause some Round 8 chaos 🤗
I don't quite understand the 'potential' chaos re Doran.
Firstly, he needs to be named in the XI to cause 'potential' chaos.
If he's named, then he would be a welcome replacement for Harper for those coaches who don't want to invest a trade for the WKP spot. If he was to be one of your dedicated loop, then you just bench him to be safe (in case he makes an appearance for their 2nd game).
For non-owners, he could provide a viable downgrade path to get them to Short/Smith ala Buckingham/Haskett from last round.

In lieu of the word 'chaos', I would prefer to use 'opportunity' in its place to promote a more creative mindset for our coaches.
