Maybe this is a stupid question by why are Australia going to Dubai for a training camp to play a series in Sri Lanka? Surely a camp in ummmm Sri Lanka or even Australia would make more sense. Furthermore it is a 4 hour flight from Dubai to Columbo meaning players have to spend around 8 hours extra on a plane than necessary.

Basically to get the wickets they want at the Academy over there.

Can replicate conditions better instead of "relying" on a practice match in Sri Lanka where they would probably get a green top

England often go to the UAE for pre sub continent tours as well , think they just had one for their quicks.
