I have 13 players out plus Harvey and Watson still not confident will play.
Could be my worst bye round. I should have planned better.

I've never been fortunate enough to be able to emergency loophole on a bye week, but does it still work the same?

Best 18 is not fair. It must be the only easy thing they could do at late notice. If they could adjust their software, surely they would've given averages.

Yes it does work same way.

I will be puttin the E on Boston and McLean and loop them with Selwood or Read if they happen to go big.

I would of thought best 22 scores out of your squad of 30 , (all EMG scores availiable) Crows & Cats players 0 DNP, rewards the teams that have cover

Thanks. I have to play one of hamling, brown or Boston and I can loop brown and Boston with Mckenzie and Yeo.

Best 18 sucks IMO - great for all those that were going to cop donuts with Buddy, Martin and all the others missing but sucks for those of us going in with 22 premiums. Probably lose my cash league here now to someone with 5 rookies playing when I can't even get Steele or Lambert into a potential best scoring 18.

Should have been best 20 if they were going down this path.

Oh well, terrible circumstances

Never really contemplated this, however do players predicted scores for the match across the two competing teams sum in total to 3300? Fascinated to know the answer now!

Edit: Obviously they can't as VS unaware of selected teams.

PS. Thanks for answering your own question. :D
I do not know what is going to happen in SC game itself but for those playing FDL or keeper league here what I have decided to do is paste a rounded up average score for likely 22 each. I do not believe VirtualSports will do the same in SC but for FDL and keeper league it is simplest solution to horrible real life circumstances meaning the game needed to be called off.

For those playing in SCDL that is another league here that is spin off from FDL please feel welcome to copy and paste to your game too.

Very surprised by this decision. Would have preferred 0s or averages.
As an exercise I used Oz's average scenario, which interestingly nearly added up to 3300, and scaled the scores for each side to get 1650. Here are the results:

Adelaide Crows SC Ave Scaled
Dangerfield Patrick 116 117
Thompson Scott 111 112
Jacobs Sam 101 101
Laird Rory 96 96
Betts Eddie 92 92
Lynch Tom 85 85
Douglas Richard 85 85
Ellis-Yolmen Cameron 80 80
Walker Taylor 80 80
Henderson Ricky 77 77
Smith Brodie 74 74
Lever Jake 69 69
Mackay David 68 68
Jenkins Josh 66 66
Van Berlo Nathan 65 65
Crouch Matt 62 62
Martin Brodie 61 61
Brown Luke 57 57
Wright Matthew 56 56
Cameron Charlie 55 55
Talia Daniel 53 53
Lyons Jarryd 33 33
Sum 1642
Scale factor 1.004872107

Geelong SC Ave Scaled
Blicavs Mark 110 112
Enright Corey 96 98
Selwood Joel 97 99
Caddy Josh 90 92
Motlop Steven 87 89
Guthrie Cameron 87 89
Taylor Harry 86 88
Thurlow Jackson 84 86
Johnson Steve 83 85
Stokes Mathew 80 82
Hawkins Tom 76 77
Rivers Jared 76 77
Mackie Andrew 71 72
Murdoch Jordan 70 71
Lonergan Tom 68 69
Gregson Corey 61 62
Walker Josh 54 55
Kolodjashnij Jake 52 53
Simpson Dawson 48 49
Bartel Jimmy 48 49
Smedts Billie 48 49
Kersten Shane 47 48
Sum 1619
Scale factor 1.019147622

It appears to lend weight to the decision taken by AFL fanasty.

While I would have done it differently the decision has been made now. Way I see it is to try to figure out the best way to take advantage with one's current team. For myself the best advantage I can get is by delaying trades.

There's more important things in life than SC, we know the answer now and should just embrace it.

Couldn't agree more - I'm in a similar position in my main cash league now. My opponent has gone from copping two donuts to now having a higher projected score than me!

I'm hoping Hanners trade in was wasted due to him not being part of my best scoring 18 :p

Absolutely, I just thought it was an interesting exercise both for this weeks scenario and answered my earlier question, to some degree, about predicted scores.
