Original Opening Post
The time has arrived to organise the next SCS Meet Up. Most would agree the first meet up in July last year was a great success, a night full of laughs, tears (mainly IDIG's) and a few beers! Hopefully there will be at least two catch ups this year, one pre season and another mid season, so if you miss this one there is always the next one. It will be in Melbourne, so apologies to those around the rest of the country and overseas!
It would be great if we could have as many people who want to turn up able to come, so rather than myself or someone else randomly picking a date and place, I thought I would open it up for anyone to put forward any suggestions or preferences. I have created a multi option poll whereby you can make some preferences, note I will make it an open poll so that if you change your mind later we can mentally adjust it. The poll will be open for about two weeks, then we will make date/venue decisions so that we everyone then has enough time to make plans. It will be nearly impossible to accomodate everyone, but hopefull the poll may indicate some clear overall preferences.
The poll relates to:
1. Which day of the week do you prefer? Friday night, Sat arvo, Sat night or something else? It will most likely be on a weekend since most will have a few drinks. We realise there are a few people who will come from the country etc so Friday may be tougher for them, while others may find it harder to get a leave pass from their partner on a weekend to go "have a beer with anoynmous people on the interweb".
2. Venue. Last year we went to a pub near Etihad and then went onto a AFL game, and some then back to the pub. So would one prefer to do the same again and attach it to a game at Etihad, or just a pub (with Nab on TV), or elsewhere? Feel free to add any ideas in the thread. Note the Etihad games are all on the Labour Day long weekend so some may miss due to family holidays etc. Most likely if we don't attach it to a game the pub will be centrally located near the city close to public transport.

Who can come?
Anyone! Actually anyone 18 and over since we will probably be drinking. New and old SCS members welcome, from last time we are a mixed age group yet we all get along very well. It would also be nice to have a few female members there as well!
How will I recognise the group?
We all found each other last year! Plus we now have pics of some of us so you can have idea of what we look like. Further I am happy to exchange mobile numbers over PM's in case you get lost etc (assuming I can make the date we agree to!)
The mods will edit this opening post as new info and decisions have been made...
