One for you BigRuss...

Selwood & Wells or Libba & Westhoff
Currently have Wells, Libba and Westhoff in my side and if Selwood was fit he'd be there too. To pick one though Selwood and Wells only because Libba is in a bit of a grey zone for me. Wells is just too cheap to pass on if he's fit.

Where's the interest from Westhoff come from? Haven't seen him mentioned here really. Had him on the watch list for a while and His role seems to be very friendly this year from what I watched at the Intra club game. Could be a really good POD and outside Dusty, Barlow and Buddy could throw a net over the rest for my fourth forward.

My thoughts are similar to yours, originally had Gunston instead. Also considering Dixon as well, will depend on how he goes post surgery and how I decide to setup down back.

I'm a bit interested by him too. By friendly SC role do you mean he's getting up the field a bit more and having the odd spell in the ruck? While I've got you do you have an opinion on Wingard's season? Much the same as last year? Or room for SC improvement?

Yeah I toyed with Dixon too while there was a bit of talk about Dimmas Cloke move on the site. Could quite easily kick 30 in our first 10 games. His injury history really worries me. Can't take a risk in him while Im planning to take Rich & Malceski too.

Ah I don't see him playing ruck too much at all TBH. Will be something like an 80/10/10 split Lobbe/Trengove/Dixon. Seemed to be playing the high half forward pushing up onto the wings and at times. I'd wager he spent more time between the arcs then in the forward 50 by quite a margin. Schulz and Dixon obviously didn't play so hard to see the real structure but he's definitely firmed as a more keen watch for me. See how he goes in NAB 3 as we will be playing our strongest side and probably structure up as we will R1.

Edit: Should also state looks like Ports game plan has changed a bit too. Corridor play limited basically to fast breaks. From kick outs used the boundary a lot more. I think the hope is to be more careful at times and drop the ball on Dixons head and have Gray and Wingard do what they do. Hoff was used a lot as that as that second kick out of defence target.

I had a chat to Chad at the game as it was tied in with Ports Family day and he said he expects to play forward more. Hell chop Gray out I the mids almost exclusively I think. Overall less midfield time but probably more goals. Still a solid pick but a no from me.

I agree with Goodies. Your observations are great to read BigRuss. Not sure I'm as observant when I watch a game.
Just wondering if you have any thoughts on Sam Gray. It looks to me like the Lachie Neale, Michael Barlow, Nat Fyfe situation where Neale pushed Barlow onto the half forward flank last year and this year Fyfe will be a midfielder drifting forward to allow Barlow to be a half forward drifting into the midfield.
I would think Port would prefer Robbie Gray to be a half forward drifting into the midfield rather than the other way around and Sam Gray could be the player allowing that to happen. I know he had his good scores with Wines out of the team but he took his chance and gave the coaches something to think about.

Wines and Martin vs JPK and Jacobs
Wines and martin for me, these two should go 105, I'm tipping a 110 from both as an optimist!
I feel jacobs won't get 110. I see him at 105 hence i prefer wines and martin.
