A few thoughts,

I like your structure and spread across all four line, but personally I don't see Salem as a great option down back, due to only playing 10 games in 2015 and the awkward price tag of $399k just puts him at too high risk option. Although he's a good POD player and could pay off, there are just better options available at or around that 400k price such as Malceski, Rosa, Rich or Yeo.
You've got a good midfield but I wouldn't go near Freeman! Purely because he really isn't proven at all and highly injury prone, I'd be looking at Gresham instead.
They're are not many decent def/mid rookies that would be a chance of an early start, the only one I can think of is Michael Hibberd.
Hope this helped :)

Similar to what my lineup was for a long time actually! But I think, at this stage, the better rookies are up forward and in the midfield. Therefore, would be wiser to strengthen the backline with an extra premium and gamble on the rookies up forward. That's just my opinion!

hi min

i dont mind your set up. it is quite unique. however i think u have gone skinny in your def and rucks. i would keep my eye on lobbe.

if lobbe doesnt work out i would remove either simpkin or wells to a 123k rookie and use the money to upgrade lobbe. overall good team and really like the midfield

So Sandi isn't going to pay off now because he's not playing, so I took the opportunity to finally work Wells in and strengthen the backline. Unfortunately I've had to lose Fyfe along the way. If you can figure out a way to work him back in let me know but otherwise what do you think?

D: Laird, Simpson, Macmillan, Yeo, S Collins, Hartley (M Brown (WCE), K Collins)
M: Pendles, Ablett, Mundy, Rocky, Wines, Libba, Kerridge, Sumner (Freeman, Keays, Balic)
R: Martin, Jacobs (King)
F: Dusty, Dahl, Barlow, Wells, Pickett, Petracca (Kommer, M Brown (ESS))

I love the structure of this team and most of the picks are great but my only question is where's Goldy??

If going with set and forget rucks I feel as though he needs to be one of them.

I just can't afford him. Its as simple as that. I feel like the two I have are closest to set and forget without Goldy tho

I agree with Ben's Beasts - why pay $1.2m on your rucks but not have Goldy? I reckon you could pull back on one premium mid (Mundy or Wines) to say Mills/Duggan and then with that spare cash take Jacobs up to Goldy and the other of Wines or Mundy up to Fyfe.

I reckon you are trying to squeeze too many "keepers" in there. Are Mundy and Wines going to go at that elite mid level or are they just clogging things up and preventing you from getting in a couple of the big guns you probably need to get in eventually why not just start with them.

Agree with the above bloke. Better off getting either or both of Goldy and Fyfe in than be too speculative.

Disagree with dropping a midfielder here.
Going 4 +libba with 3 and wells as f4 is to thin for me.
If your going 4 + libba you need 4 premiums up fwd.

Keen to hear thoughts on first cut of team, rookies names only until we see the nab cup
Hi Macca. A few quick observations as follows:

DEF: Yeo & Smith make me very nervous. I have worked hard to remove both from my team. I think I read somewhere that Otten is injured. I'm not sure the WCE Brown is relevant - perhaps replace him with the Ess Brown.

MID: Looks strong, but probably bats a bit deep for my liking. Consider moving Wells & Kerridge to the Fwd line and replace with must have rookies.

RUC: Looks good

FWD: Prems look good. I don't know much about Menzle. Probably not room for Menz and Wells, so chose the best one and drop the other. Move Brown to Def and replace with Kerridge.

Rookies: In general, you have a lot of min price rookies on your bench. Not sure if this will get you the best result so you may need to free up some cash to boost these rookies (dropping one of Menz/Wells may help with this).

I hope this helps :)
Thanks Ricky Bobby, appreciate the feedback. Going to change up the backline and move m brown to the backs as you suggested. Cheers

This would definitely help with points generation, however if there are good rookies up Fwd, then it might make sense to drop a Fwd premo to get the extra rookie.

It depends on how the rookies play out by R1. For the sake of his team planning and that he is making several compromises in premiums he doesn't like I reckon dropping back that extra mid makes sense for now.

If rookies don't show up we can start then for sure start working with more value premium types, cull the exy guys like Fyfe and spread the $ out more.

But gun prem / gun prem / mid rookie or Crouch v compromise prem x 3 ... I reckon that would even out provided the good extra mid rookie shows up.

2016 SC Team #10 (strong rucks & back, tippet forward, parker mid).JPG

Amended my team based on the NAB results week 1, and some comments I've seen on this website.

$48,300 left over.
Liking the look of this team, except for lack of DPP links in the midfield. Any good DPP rookies for the mid about?

Powerbrokers - I am considering Westhoff, but how can I put him in my team when the man whose image is Westhoff doesn't have him in his?
