Welcome to Season 2016! One of the Mods will update this opening post with the Teams once they drop.

For those new to SCS, as well as our in-game banter and discussion, we also place all of the teams, final benches, any late outs/ins etc as well as quarter by quarter and final scaled SC Scores in here. Please feel free to add late team changes or SC scores posts in here. We are not worried if there are 2 or 3 sets of scores posted within a minute of each other, better to overdo it than not at all, plus we usually delete the duplicates quickly anyway. Please also remember that everyone posting scores are volunteers and there is no roster as such, so please be patient. Between the dozen or so posters over the last couple of years we have posted about 99% of the qtr by qtr scores, a great team effort!

In regards to posting behaviour, there is a great level of respect and maturity shown here at SuperCoachScores. Generally us Mods don't have to clean up too much, an excellent testament to the character of many posters here. During the season there is bound to be times where something controversial happens and we get a little hot headed, just try to ensure you don't cross the line to becoming abusive or obnoxious as that won't be tolerated. This forum does not have a report button but if you do feel someone has crossed the line or want to ask something in private, feel free to PM one (or CC PM a few) of the Mods.

Finally, the Richmond v Carlton game starts at 7:20pm (EST). Unless there is a change this year, Teams usually drop at 6:25pm, meaning that there is less than an hour between teams and the first rolling lockout. Be prepared for the official site to be very slow as many try to adjust their team, in years past the official site has also been known to crash completely. I'd suggest having your VC/C, Emergencies etc all set, and preferably have all of your Rich & Car players sorted. If you do want to make a last minute change you want to do it very quickly! Good Luck everyone!

I've already made my first excuse of the year as to why I'll be "running late" for drinks on Thursday...

Looking forward to it, but then not looking forward to at the same time when potentially Gresham, Hewett and Davis are all not named and we'll be switch M/Fs into the mids, getting 200k rookies and destroying our team in the few hours before the first lockout.

Add to that list players like Broad, Adams and Ruggles

Adams has to be named surely. Tippa still hasn't been upgraded too...
Broad, Ruggles are quite doubtful to begin with, so I wouldn't be putting the house on them!
Hewett, Gresham, Davis are the ones we really need to play as there are literally no other options other than ones around $200k.

Gonna struggle with this Internet as I'll be at the game live
Trust me when I say the wifi at the G is so much better now compared to last year. Been to numerous cricket games there over the summer and its works a treat.

MCG boosts free wi-fi network for round one

FOOTY fans will have access to free wi-fi at the MCG from this season.

In addition, access to 3G and 4G networks at the stadium has been improved.

Melbourne Cricket Club boss Stephen Gough said the wi-fi network held up well over the summer cricket season when the West Indies toured Australia.

MCG scraps 'ring of steel' but ups security for AFL season

"We have received fantastic feedback about the free wi-fi throughout the summer and look forward to seeing how fans enjoy the enhanced connectivity during the AFL season," Gough said.

"There are some big games scheduled for the MCG in round one and we encourage everyone to connect and make the most of the improvements."

More than 227 kilometres of cable was used to install the wi-fi system.

The AFL season kicks off on Thursday, with Richmond hosting Carlton at the MCG.

Just hoping teams hurry up as I'm waiting for the big news on Currie. If he's not named 1/4 of my team will change

As long as we have our Carlton and Richmond players sorted, we have all of Good Friday to change our teams without using trades, am I right?

That is a massive relief! I am at uni, an hour away from home, until 5:30, but often my lecture finishes at 5. We have the early game in Futsal, 6:10. If I get off at 5, I can make Futsal providing I have all my gear in my car. I was getting to the point where I was considering hanging around uni for a while even if I got off at 5, so that I could come home and be with my Supercoach team rather than my Futsal team, thinking I had to have my team locked in before 7:20.

I am the most experienced player and the leading scorer on a mediocre team, and we are playing a bottom side, so we really need to get a win. Now I am sure that Supercoach has become an addiction.

Not if you're on a plane flying for 15 hours and past the date line. :p

But when you arrive it'll be Thursday so you'll have time to make changes before the game...
