Taranto, I think he is ready to go up another level, based on the fact that he's now played 37 games, so from now onwards he should be a more consistent scorer. Talented enough to do well, I like him.
Daniher, hmmm, I don't usually pick key position players, but if his price is low enough to make some good money for an upgrade, then I might be tempted.
Wingard, if he is still a Fwd/Mid in 2019, then he is tempting with some possible midfield time. Interesting to see what plans the Hawks have for him and how much time they plan to give him in the midfield.

I don't see Wingard as a necessary pick. He'll be close to $500k so not a lot of cash to make, can still be picked up for not much more than that even if he has a good start, is unlikely to be a permanent mid to push his average into the elite status, misses games and will be 26 this year with 147 games under his belt so unlikely to breakout. Definitely a trade in target if his price drops but no need to start him.

Taranto is a guy who I rate a lot on natural talent and tracked in the right direction this year. I think with Shiel gone he might get more centre bounce attendances, where his inside work could net him extra points.
I agree KPP's are not usually the best and I try to avoid them but Daniher averaged 56.9 this year and should get a 10% discount next year (like Coniglio got this year) for playing 7 games or less. So you get a guy who is priced as though he averaged 51 and who averaged 86 in 2017, meaning he should be a good stepping stone. He represents very good value. There's a small chance he could blossom into a keeper but I think he can be a good stepping stone/scorer if he's fit. All his scores this year after R1 were injury affected.
Wingard is definitely a bit riskier, even if they say he's a mid he's always a chance to be moved forward. If you look at his scores he's fairly inconsistent year to year but when he's played in the middle the last two years he's scored very well. I think if we see him as a pure mid we'll see the birth of a new player. In the last two years I think he's played a lot more games as a pure mid and has shown an increased capacity to win his own footy and get clearances. He's bulked up to 85kg over the years and I think the hawks are essentially an inside mid short (their 3rd mid after Titch and O'meara is usually a tagger) and could look to use him in a midfield role.

Tend to agree with @pizza safety, Tarranto is a very, very good young player. Seriously considering him for next year. Already has the body to match it with the big bodies in and around the contest, which we saw at times this year.
Also if I was a Giant I'd be pretty content with Whitfield replacing Shiel. I'm not as big on Shiel as many others, has great pace and line-breaking ability but his kicking is atrocious. Whitfield is pure class.

Already listed at 87kg in his 2nd season, the guy has some size. His high contested possession % at a young age is a very good sign for things to come in my opinion.
Shiel is a stoppage specialist who was 3rd in the AFL for centre clearances in 2017, but he's not that great a kick, I would hesitate to call him an atrocious kick because his kicks are generally very aggressive and often done at full speed, but he's not great. I'm not sure if Whitfield can replace Shiel, but he can take over a wing, whilst Taranto can go on the other wing and rotate with J Kelly in the square.

Disagree personally, I've watched both very closely and both and Hopper and Taranto have the ability to develop into top quality contested beasts in the guts, something Whitfield lacks compared to them. Not saying Whitfield wouldn't be a good midfielder, but he's a better half back than they are half forwards, so I'd be getting them in the guts over him. Look at Toby Greene, he has shown already that he could be a great midfielder but he can make do as a damaging small forward, while midfielders that aren't as adaptable to new positions are more likely to get thrown into the guts.
As for Zac Williams coming back, the Giants went with Shaw, Williams and Wilson for a couple of years. Shaw, Williams, Whitfield isn't really that different in my eyes. I don't see Whitfield being the one to replace Shiel. Maybe on a wing replacing Scully, but not in the centre square replacing Shiel. At the end of the day, we're only predicting from what we know and see. In a few months we'll know for certain. Happy to be proven wrong, as I can see Whitfield being a great midfielder.
