Going on an international flight and will miss tonight’s lockout

Will Hore play this week?
Have to take a punt because I intend to swap Parker for him via. Moore

There are likely a few back this week but I’d say 95% chance to play.

He was very very good last week in a win.

Spargo definitely out here was last in and was rubbish.

Even one of frost or Mcdonald before Hore.

Hibberd should get dropped before Hore too.

One of the Wagners and even Stretch if they wanted to make several changes.

My trade plans could change again. Very dependent on teams announcements but if Toby Greene is named I may seriously consider turfing the Hoff on his ear as Dixon out resulting in Hoff playing a bit too deep forward for mine. He likes to roam far and wide but he not being able to so trading is a reluctant risky option I may punt on with big risk, high reward of Greene. Crazy talk but right now the crazy mind is looking into it.

It would replace the plan to get Stack as midfield cash cow sitting on bench almost every week. Greene probably not named anyway so I could still be getting Stack. but if I do go Greene it means I keep Burgess and shift him forward in my other trade of Watson to O'Brien. That trade would work as Watson traded from midfield, Matthew Walker of Hawks switched to midfield, Burgess switched from defence to forward and Caleb Graham switched from R3 to defence with O'Brien coming in to make cash in R3 spot. Leaves me with forward line this week of Dangerfield, Heeney, Greene, Rozee, Parker, Setterfield all on field with Drew emergency loopholed via Setters on field temporarily. If Drew goes really crap roll the dice on Burgess swapped from bench to on field via Setters. If Parker out for any reason probably Burgess just has to play on field with Drew and no loophole for the weekend up forward.

Those people with Gawn, Grundy and Bines ruck set up, are you still going to get ROB this week? If so, is it straight swap Bines for ROB and he sits on bench until culling time, then Bines back in? Or trade out a Setters type, swing Bines forward, then swing back when culling ROB. I suppose it depends on forwards available this week.
My original plans were to do one up, one down to strengthen my forward line, ie LDU to Stack, Setters to Daniel.
I'm leaning towards passing on ROB and going with original plan of upgrading forward line, but ROB could be good moneymaking rookie, albeit never appearing in R1 or R2 spot?
I have Hoff up forward for cover, only got $24k in the bank, so can't just swap Bines to ROB. I'm reluctant to facilitate a trade with Setters who's currently in my mids, as I'll lose his Dpp, already have 4 dpps in my forwards. Setters has been underwhelming, so not too sure. I might let it go.

I have that setup and will be getting O'Brien, either through Parker or Balta, depending on named teams. I had the same plans as you but I think it's too good an opportunity to pass up. I honestly think in about 4 weeks time, when ROB owners are cashing him out, those who skipped him will wonder what the f they were thinking.

EDIT: i also think it's possible O'Brien makes it to the byes, in which case it's an even bigger win for owners.

Only way I get ROB is by bypassing Marshall. Who do we think is the better option for our teams?
Same boat for me. I am going O'Brien instead. If you think Marshall is a genuine 100+ player, it's probably him, but otherwise there are enough good fwd premo options on the horizon that I don't mind missing Marshall.

ROB is one of those rare R3 cash cow which has been gifted to us due to the ill fortune of Jacobs' injury. In saying that, he won't be the last viable cash cows to present leading up to upgrade season.

It really comes down to how confident you are with your current batch of Rookies and whether their projected rise is sufficient to enable you to upgrade your team in a traditional manner...AND...how bullish you are in Marshall to continue on his current form to end up as a top FWD Premium?

If your confidence level in Marshall holding his form is the overriding factor, then grabbing him now at $406K would seems to be a bargain too good to pass up, not to mention immediately addressing the current lack of performances from the first batch of FWD Rookies.

Really depends as @THCLT has said.. I do like the cash gen from ROB in a poor season so far from rookies, but also like what I've seen from Marshall... I'd almost lean towards Marshall but if you dont have Tim Kelly thats another upgrade that'll be cheap in a couple of weeks instead

I'm actually going Goldy to ROB, Setterfield to Marshall then with my extra cash Drew or Petrol to Tim Kelly in a couple of weeks

I think ROB onfield is more valuable. ROB off, I think Marshall, provided it's not a sideways, but an upgrade or serious correction.

I'm in a similar situation, but then I thought about. You and I can get both via a premo ruck downgrade. The advantage of this is that you get ROB onfield. I think teams running ROB onfield will be well placed for the next few weeks. So without seeing your team, you could pretty much Premo ruck > Rob, then anyone forward or where you have a DPP link with Fwd out, and Marshall in.

I'm running Gawn+Goldy+Clarke (also a bubble boy).

At the moment I've gone Parker+LDU to Stack+Marshall, gets a rookie off, and an extra premo.
I could go: Goldy/Gawn+Parker/B.Scott/etc>ROB+Marshall; probably not a lot of change in scoring, but $300k+ in cash (Gawn).

There are 3 Richmond players next week who have the potential to be bubble boys, none without JS risks I'd say. It might be nice just to do a single upgrade next week with the cash, but will still put me the same number of premos but a trade down.

This also means not going Stack this week, who is probably a good selection.

I'm reluctantly going Stack+Marshall and disappointingly letting ROB slide.

Any others in the boat that if any 2 of Drew/Parker, Balta or Heeney miss they’d have to have a donut to get O’Brien in via Bines?

I must admit I am genuinely very scared for Westhoff this week. He suffered badly against a very depleted Richmond side and quite frankly I just can't see Westcoast playing him into any form...it could be a bloodbath!
Depending on fwd outs this week, I fear it may be a case of simply asking if he is better than a donut, for which there is no simple answer!
Hinkley just needs to keep him within the confines of the centre square as the marking link-up player and have everyone kick to him.
Fortunately this is the right time of the year to celebrate miracles!

If I was an owner I would not be trading Westhoff unless he dishes up these poor scores again with Marshall back in the side.

Marshall will be playing this week meaning Hoff can roam more and collect his uncontested possessions.

Westhoff has had the following scores against West Coast in recent times:

86
85
136
92

For a 100 average.

Fair to say I went on holiday at a fairly inopportune time - limited focus and patchy internet saw me miss a few lockouts, no trades for two weeks etc.... Ranking has slipped from 120 to 8,000 or so. Ah well

Can anyone let me know if there's any must have rookies I need to focus on? Concerns with T.Kelly, Heeney, etc?
