I traded Collins as I needed a second trade with Rozee the other to fund getting Tim Kelly in. But 36 hours later with Clark rested if I bring Kelly in will have a donut in backline.. Frustrating Wednesday game. Worse still it benefits you lucky buggers that wanted someone out to get Hore score...lol... damn.. not sure what I do now with second trade. Got to look at SC site and see what can do now I see teams announced.

Looks like my best bet is keep Rozee for now and trade Tobe Watson to either Josh Corbett or if Josh Rotham named in 22 for Eagles tomorrow I grab him on bubble and he scores well. Think I hope Rotham gets picked as brings in a cash generating rookie earlier and may get the Barass role for a few weeks hopefully . Rotham playing whilst Clark rested would be the best thing in this situation. Please pick Eagles as it also forces some the Hore owners to be challenged to probably skip Rotham if he ends up making decent cash in the next month.

Fingers crossed Eagles do right thing by me,

$299K in the bank.

Bailey Scott will be moved on.

Can go to;

Rockliff (BE 31)
Sheppard (BE 39)
Robbie Gray (BE 152)
Selwood (BE 97)
Buddy (BE 96)

I favour them in the order listed above.

Really keen on Sheppard as a big POD (only in 1218 teams and averaging 99.6).

Current team below

Whitfield, Hurn, Williams, Smith, Duursma, Hore (Clark, Scrimshaw)
Cripps, Macrae, Oliver, Coniglio, Brayshaw, Walsh, Constable, Drew (Atkins, Stack, Scott)
Goldy, Mumford (ROB)
Danger, Heeney, T Kelly, Lobb, Moore, Baker (Bines, Owies (FD))

24 trades left.

Gilbert Gardiner from the HS has said "get on J Kelly"... make of that what you will haha!
Yeah, I'm keen to jump on J.Kelly as a bit of a POD this round. A defensive upgrade might be better but J.Kelly I think is one I'll want before the byes. Laird v J.Kelly for me, takes Drew/Constable off the field vs Scrimshaw (if I get Laird). Will need to make the call before the Friday game tomorrow as I need to pivot Duursma.

Scott out hurts even more after I move Gibbons on for Stack last week!
That's definitely frustrating.... I moved on Gibbons as well :( Kept guys like Setterfield and Parker instead!

I planned to have emergency loophole on Scott this week. Ruined that plan so now just forced to pick one of Constable or Gibbons.
Tricky dilemma. Do I back Gibbons to score well again for me on field like last week or the more solid scorer so far in Constable ?

Constable is the more conservative sensible route but this game is about relativity too so might go the point of difference and back Gibbons again.

Yeah, for you keeping Scott hurts even more given you missed Gibbons ton and cash generation to still come. This is a game of so many sliding doors moments.

Other crazy option I could consider is trade Clark, switch Rozee to back and get Toby Greene.
The craziness does appeal but will still most likely take the Rotham path if Eagles pick him.

Half considered Grundy to Kelly, which also allowed for Scrimshaw/Wilkie to Lloyd next week, but chickened out, lol.
I even had a half thought of it myself when I look at O'Brien on my bench scoring ok but kind of a waste not to have on field but other less likely scoring rookies on field in other parts of ground. But ultimately the common sense kicks in and remember the reason I paid so much for Grundy in first place is the surplus you pay to have genuine captain options,, ha ha,

Yeah, especially when I didn't start Grundy, and had to burn a couple of expensive rookies in Ridley and Collins early, so I could get the cash to do Jacobs to Grundy before round 3 price changes.

Here's my situation

I have 310k to upgrade.
Here are my options.
Parker to Kelly- gets Parker off field but I don't like Kelly's bye.
Clark to Sicily- Parker still on field but get my preferred premo in Sicily.
Parker to Laird( rozee forward) - Meet in the middle option.
I rate the premos
Sicily/Kelly above Laird but don't like Kelly's bye at all.
Any advice appreciated.

You are having a good run with injuries so far this season Oz. Why mess with your luck by introducing Green into your team ?

It is a good question I posed myself too. There is also an element I had so much bad luck in past, that I may just ride the good run by being aggressive at times. Chances are I will not grab Greene but I like to consider all options. I like to trade different from the masses if I believe there is potential to get out of the pack. Finding the right balance of taking risks for reward and minimising risks is the challenge.

I am still 90% likely to go Rotham path. 6% likely Corbett and the other 4% is just exploring different options of which Greene is one.

Hey mate,
I would rate Kelly above the others at this stage, simply because he's cheaper! Having 3 in the same bye isn't so bad in the forwards for rd 13 because the other lines aren't really stacked with premiums from that round, so the donut isn't going to hurt as much. (20 other opportunities for scores when you consider Gawn/Grundy if one of them is covered) **Though now that I've typed that out it sounds a bit more dangerous!
I imagine they'll all be keepers and getting Parker off the field should be priority 1 as you said.
This season seems harder to raise cash than previous years, so cheaper premiums might be the winning flavour this year!
Have you considered blokes like Worpel/Smith? I can appreciate if you didn't want to take too many extra risks, though this season has thrown up plenty of weird scoring already!

As an example, getting Smith leaves approx 115k for next week, which will almost be a straight swap from Rozee to Crisp (or similar)

Good luck anyway mate!

Decided to trade Andrews out, switch Duursma to defence and bring in Selwood, won't get much cheaper than $465k, projected to lose about $8k this round, named on the ball, Parfitt out may see Selwood play greater midfield minutes instead of wing or half back. Playing the premiers and primed for a 120+ score, I'm banking his score this week instead of chasing them next week.

Can you go Rozee forward and bring in Lloyd? Lloyd is 10-25 pts better then the next best 6 available imo.
