Thinking this week i'll go;

Stoinis - Head
Vince - Neser
Jordan - Ahmad

Leaves my squad looking like
M.Marsh, Curran, Head, Cutting, Neser (M. Short, Wright)
Inglis (Nevill)
Khan, J. Richardson, Pattinson, Ahmad, Ellis (David, Green)

Finally letting go of the disaster Vince has been. Somehow he's the only guy that was on field for me rd 1 to have survived this far. If this is the week Stoinis finally bowls i'll be spewing but gives me some much needed $$ to spread elsewhere in the team

Next week im looking at getting D. Short, Carey and maybe a rd 13 dgw player. Would leave me with a 8/6 spread over rds 12 and 13.

Inglis > Wade
Rauf > Neser
Jordan > Weatherald

I actually really need Haris and/or Green to be dropped so that I have some donuts. Don't want to waste trades bringing one in but have no way to loop or VC

I'm absolutely stumped as to who to trade this round. 2.55m ITB. Do I keep chasing BE's?

Was thinking Stoinis > DC for the BE difference and the freeing up of cash. Milenko > D Short, cos then it's done and maybe Sutherland to Labuschane?

Stuffed if I know, might need to have a sleep and look at it tomoz.
My team value is around $2.45 (was closer to yours last round) and I am pretty confident that I don’t need to chase BEs because I should be able to afford the best finals side (essentially no practical budget constraint) unless disaster strikes, and because I should be able to afford my preferred DDGR players given I already own Khan and am happy to sacrifice guys like M Marsh to raise the cash and make space in my squad.

May be different for you, but I’ve changed tack. I’ll still be sequencing my ins and outs based on BEs, but that just changes the order of my trades rather than the players involved.

Once finals start you realise there are a bunch of $42k nu*** remaining from the teams in finals to get done what you need.

I think from here with 3 rounds to go focus on points rather than cap growth, within reason.

Look at cutting for example. A low BE 3 rounds ago now the opposite and we are still 2 rounds away from needing him.

You can be competitive in finals with a lesser cap than others. In fact my memory of it is you can’t spend the cap you have particularly when teams with high priced players drop out,
That is so true.

Last year I was cactus towards the end due to having a much lower team value than others. It meant that I had to grab an extra lower priced player or two. The last three rounds I ranked 28, 1k, and 12 for each round. My overall rank went from 1.3k to 285 over those last 3 rounds. It was all shear luck, but sometimes it is better being forced to make decisions rather than just grabbing all of the highest priced and highest averaging players which we tend to do just because we have the cash available.

Going ahead on Curran -> Neser and assessing the other moves after the toss in Brisbane tonight.

Current squad:
ABD, Morris, Head, Philippe, Khawaja
Inglis
Rashid, Maxwell, Lami, Neser, DC

Qais on the bench the only player likely to have any impact.

I think if my trades go as planned I can keep two SGR premiums through the DDGR rounds - Maxwell and Morris just shade Curran for me.

Are Sams, Stoinis, Curran, Morris, Maxy all as valuable as DGW players?
I have all but Curran and Sams.
Tempted by Sams at least.
Thinking also I’ll just hold Stoinis and wear the $ hit if it happens in case he goes big, but then could use him for Sams.
Still on Fawad, Green and Rauf for Neser, Qais and DC. Not convinced if e.g. double Qais is better than Sams.
