That’s where a Houston/Starcevich swing might come in handy. Even if Starcevich isn’t playing, if you have some def bench cover you can swing Houston to the mids.

Yeah agreed but if Green got dropped you’d still have no bench cover if ur midfield bench ended up being something like (Stacevich, donut to play (ie Hibberd), M11 FD). I guess I’m more considering contingencies if Budarick and Robertson both don’t get named but there were positive comments on both in recent days.

Gee, pretty brave going DTP and a FD, don’t think I have ever had two deliberate donuts. The Starcevich example was based on having a heartbeat or two on the bench, and picking someone like Starcevich who may not have the best JS.

Yeah I’m not considering it but I’ve seen it mentioned! I guess most are just hoping Robertson and Budarick get named!

If BJ Williams gets named, it will make structure interesting. Been trying to get him to R3 but makes the def bench expensive.

I’ve been trying to get him to R3 as well, it’s better for a Naismith R2 side

I’m far from sold on Houston and head knock and sitting out the second half of of the last pre season game has him crossed off my list.

My sense is that sitting out the second half was the conservative approach they took guven it was a preseason game, but I'll be keeping an ear out for anything further on this.

Sitting makes sense, not sure why you would expect him to play on.

Houston has the mid role, support from coach, mid minutes. What we don't know is how often he will be matching up/tagging players and how he scores in those periods. One to look at post bye. could ave 100-110 when playing his normal role. I am positive on that front.

If AFL matches are cancelled, then it would be good if the Fantasy Leagues organisers can tell us what they plan to do about it, so we can change our strategy before Rd1.

Currently running a GG side with 5 premium mids (Cogs at M5 over Oliver but I don't see that as sacrifice, just a better pick IMO).
Sic-Houston-Doc + expensive rookies
5 Premium mid + Rowell/Green/Picket + rookies
Whitfield-Dusty-Steven-Smith + rookies

14 players I see will be keepers and top 8 in their position come end of season.

Only real sacrifice is not having much money left, however can always go Houston to Roberton to free up $220k to be spread across rookies that need to be beefed up come teams dropping.
I'm torn between Roberton and Houston and am constantly switching them and spending/saving money elsewhere accordingly.

Are you worried about starting both Houston and Roberton due to round 11 bye and changes due to China game cancellation?

The questions I would like answered are 1. when will AFL be suspended, 2. how long will it suspended for?
Pretty sure nobody knows yet.
Because there is no antidote, it seems inevitable that some AFL players will get the Corona Virus.

I think, one reason the NBA was suspended for the whole season is because nobody knows if a player (or a whole team), who had the Corona Virus, can get it again. So the virus could be recurring, if so, then suspending the whole season makes sense.

Because there is no antidote, it seems inevitable that some AFL players will get the Corona Virus.

Unfortunately lack of trades may become more of a concern than lack of rookies and I'm not trying to make light of the situation.
