Thinking of doing this, however feels weird bringing 3 demons in with the wholesale changes Goodwin seems like he likes to make. I don't trust McAsey's scoring even though he's named, and I'm assuming Green will be dropped for Ward.

Means I miss Townsend but his 99 may be a bit goal heavy, and then leaves enough cash to grab McHenry next week as a bubble boy if he goes bang this week.

Might go:

Bont/Roberton/BZT > Viney/Hurn/Rivers

Brought in Howe for Houston last night.

Leaves me one more trade if Green is dropped and I can grab Bennell

Can anyone confirm, I know prices are changing after this week, but after that, does it go back to 3 weeks? I remember talking about this before round 1 but can't remember what the answer was.

Eg players playing first games this week, will they rise in price after round 3 (2 games) or round 4 (3 games)?

To answer my own question, from the Herald Sun themselves:

"Note that we will continue to use a three-round rolling average to calculate prices. For Round 2, the third score used will be based on the previous season average score that each player was priced at – then returning to normal after the third round. Check out our FAQ below for details."

So this suggests guys like Bennell, Rivers, McHenry, Doedee will not be on the bubble next week

Think that might just be poorly written. I think the "then returning to normal after the third round" in that statement is referring to the third score that will be used to calculate a player's 3-round rolling average.

Pretty sure players will still change in price after playing 2 games this season, across the entire season, rather than the traditional 3.

If one had to take a sub $500k defender to be a season long keeper whom would you go for?

Been somewhat forced into a bit of a restructure due to Roberton and BZT being out.

Looking at Haynes, DBJ, Dawson, Andrews someone in that range anyway.

Any opinions welcome?

So, after this round prices will change for those who've played two games? Is that right?

Each player starts at 2 game price rise before moving into 3 game average with the 1st game dropping off at game 4 is my understanding of it.

Missing a whole bunch like everyone else... BZT, Guthrie, Roberton, Davis, Cavarra, Green (the last three probably).

Guthrie and Roberton need to go at their higher prices - dumping them plus Green can get me Rivers, Viney and Tom Berry/Max King.

Davis or Cavarra will go out for Sturt when he returns.

Am I better off sticking with that three trade combo? Or downgrading a premium, e.g. Bont, to Viney instead and using the cash to get in Townsend/Long/Bewley plus Howe next week.

Just badly worded, they frame it in terms of Rd 2, but it's after two games played for an individual player.
Rd 2 just the first round where it can apply.
Bennell will have his first movement after Rd 3 if he plays both Rd 2 and 3, e.g..

So stuck! I think I have gotten it down to 2 options.

Doedee and Long Vs Rivers and Greenwood

This seems tricky and greenwood should be a keeper, but also means taking a rookie...and less rookies = less risks.

Any other advice would be welcomed....such as not trading out macrae for viney, etc
