Changing between leagues in Gameday is a pain in the a$$. You have to go back to the gameday menu, then select leagues again. (on imac)

I think there is good value, for me I would rather have the loophole option for R3.

The loophole is important, agree. I currently have Zerk-Thatcher and Sturt non-players, but they may play next week.
Possibly making $200K is tempting also, hmmm.
Just as well I have a week to decide and to see which other Rookies are going to come on the scene next week and to see who's not playing in my team.

Funny thing is normally there are not many cheap rucks, this year there seems to be a lack of playing defender rookies, maybe your plan may work in that way

Bennell has played 2 games in 4 years. AFL 2020 has shortened quarters, and as such starting players have increased the percentage of time on ground, thus reducing non starters game time as the starters don't need the rest. From a football perspective it makes complete sense to run at 50% for the first game back, especially since he wasn't ready for round 1 in March.
