Yes the Grundy fitness is key for me. I have resigned myself to missing pittonet if sturt plays but if Grundy is out I may rethink him as R3 and bring cameron on field in the fwds

Didnt play in the 'scratchy' before the main game last week, just ran water. So assume if he was just not selected, he would've played in that scratchy.

Not on the injury list, so I think they were potentially just being cautious with him. I assume, so he can come straight back into the seniors this week.

Does that make sense? haha

Must have had enough of a niggle to miss. Surely no club in their right mind would omit a young talent the game after they have received a Rising Star Nom.

Yep, don't disagree. Maybe just being overcautious with their young talent?

Tough call so early in the season. Surely bruised ribs is only one week? However in short season and lots of trades gotta go hard.
Would depend on what else your team needs.

I'm trying to work out whether to go after Gawn, Pittonet or hold Jacobs.

So if its down to a choice of trading either Houston or Brodie Smith out to fix some issues in defense, which one should I cut? Seems people are a bit more bullish on Smith's role at some point resulting in better scores?

Some trades you would like to make, others you feel you have to make. Suddenly there seems a lot of the later ones. Waiting on Grundy news for the second trade...

I reckon people are being a little too quick to get rid of Dusty if you ask me. He's only out 1 week as annoying as it is.

Sit Dusty for a week, Viney into M5. Cameron as cover, can bring in Naismith for a FWD if he returns next week.

Not much upgrading mind.

Assume I will end up with all 3 of them by seasons end...is Howe still a worthwhile selection?

They all look like worthy picks to me. For me I would go Stewart simply to take advantage of the home games at Geelong coming up

Started without Dusty hoping he might start slowly for the year. After round 1 traded Dunkley out for him. Lose 50 points and now Dusty out.

These seem a bit dodgy but subject to teams and with plenty of dpp moves am currently looking at Birchall and Zerk-Thatcher out for Butler and KKP. Butler seems entrenched and with a role, KKP is apparently loved by the coach, Birchall was one of my last picked and doesn't look like a potential keeper so should go before he leaks cash.
Of course teams can alter this very quickly with Dusty,Grundy, Sturt all part of my squad.

Stuck a bit on this one... With the shortened season is it better to target on-field points or cash cows? Is it better to paint the fence with one up one down trades, or build the bank with two corrective rookie trades?

1. Nic Nat to Pittonet and green to Howe
2. Nic Nat to pittonet and green to Sturt/Cameron/Bennell
3. Green to Sturt/Cameron/Bennell and conroy to Pittonet

Any other way you can get to Howe? A Noble or Long maybe?
