AFL Fantasy has a Friday night lockout, so they can use that solution; rolling lockout does not allow for that to be done.

You could trade in Gawn and pop on the Captaincy to improve your score knowing you have a guaranteed 138.
As Bomber18 said... Easy for them to lockout players from Dees/Ess. Most people at this stage of the weekend would have used their 2 trades as well.

Not a perfect solution what AFL Fantasy has done... But far fairer than what SC have come up with IMO. I'd suggest under Fantasy's solution... there would be far less people significantly disadvantaged than there has been under SC's solution. And eliminating the really hard done done by situations some coaches are in would be the preferable option to what we have now with some really disadvantaged coaches who now have no real chance at winning.

North Melb.
The Herald Sun understands McKenna, who is asymptomatic, had trained in a small group with fellow defenders Adam Saad, Cale Hooker, Michael Hurley, Matt Guelfi, Jordan Ridley and Mason Redman.

The AFL had encouraged clubs not to stack their training groups with players from the same line.

But the AFL will tell Essendon it needs to play next week even if its starting back six are not available while in quarantine.

Terrible idea. You can't seriously think that giving players a set pre-game score that they will definitely reach is a good idea. And that's putting aside with all the other issues with the 3300 point system.

I keep saying that different systems can use different solutions.
That's why my first option of simply voiding the round completely would have been the fairest to all instead of making the rules up mid round.

It's only natural coaches who haven't been disadvantaged much or have & will advantage in the future would be opposed to the fairest solution of voiding the round.

Not that simple. Where do they draw the line (time wise) on a lockout of ESS and MEL players?
In between the rumour/news/announcement and SC making their decision, people could've still traded in the Gawn's/Petracca's/Merrett's/Shiels/etc.

I've been impacted pretty heavily by not only missing premiums and rookies/cash gen, bypassed Neale as C, and others with less will now be able to take advantage of the DGW, etc. etc.

No matter what decision they made there's always going to be anger from one side or another. Just need to roll with the punches on it I think this year and make the most of what you can. It's annoying, its frustrating. But what can we do.

Also, I think the suggestion of giving players their 'average' score (after 2 games) is absolutely ludicrous.

Anyway, bring on GCS vs. ADE. :)
If people want to trade based on rumours for a one week gain, that’s up to them. I think once an official announcement is made by the AFL, that’s a pretty clear time line.

I’d be fine with 2019 averages, 2020 averages, projected scores or 80% of averages as well. Beats copping additional rookie scores instead of premo scores for reasons out of anyone’s control.

AFL Fantasy has price rises after the first game, it is a stock market trading game with 2 changes per round.

I stopped playing it for that very reason.

But then what about the people who are on track for a massive round? There's always going to be people disadvantaged no matter what they chose to do.

Easy fixed, just make sure the midfield and forwards do their job so the ball never gets there!

They might well be on track for a massive score but so could of many of the disadvantaged coaches if they had of been able to use their full teams and have their first choice Captain. Those coaches under this revised "make it up as we go" situation have never been given the chance to be "on track for a massive round".

Hence my preference for the round to voided completely. Giveing ALL coaches the same shot at winning.

I wouldn't be surprised at all to see someone take legal action considering the considerable prize on offer.

Personally I see SC, RDT and Fantasy pulling the plug on the season at some stage.
