It wasn’t going up Friday night after copping Dusty, Jelly & Whitfield. The turning point was my forced trading Jelly to Neale.

Is Dahl okay? I mentioned it earlier in the thread but haven’t actually seen what was wrong with him.

Just went searching to see what the update is on Dahl, and he appears to have had the misfortune of having an injury article written at the same time last year (22 June 2019).

And June 2016. And July 2018. Not a great time of year for Dahl it seems.

Despite having only 8/18 as keepers play this round, I think I’ve done okay - 17/1838 with Sturt to come.

A Sturt late out would be massive salt in the wounds....

Have I benefited from this round? Hard to say... I don't fully understand how the Melbourne and Essendon players give me double points later in the season. Can't get my head around that... Do I now target Melbourne players every opportunity to trade? Already have a significant number of them in my team.

Downside: I don't get the benefit of Rivers' price boost who I went early with to ensure this week I didn't have to miss rookies for cash gen. Buderick as my 5th forward (yes this is bad as he oustscored the next highest by 30 odd points) helps as they were averaging 30-ish between 4 of them. Kelly, late out meant I was going to E on Bennell ... So missed Brown's score of 80 without an E. As I don't get points for non-needed E, I also miss Jacobs' 95. Already having Petracca, Smith, means that others get an extra week to pick up and place in their team, for what I assume will be a double point week at some stage. Viney takes a week longer to get to BE and get out of my side... same as Bennell I guess.

So pretty bleak...

Good news? I lose Whitfield's 8 and T berry's 21... (to gain access to C Taylor's 44)... L. Neale was C. Also, some of my premiums stepped up this week, so what should have been a massive loss in points will likely only be a much smaller loss and may even turn up a few undeserved and unexpected wins.

Yeah, Melbourne not playing hurt me too as I have Viney and Trac. Also have D Smith. Those with Gawn and no Pittonet and/or relying on Gawn as captain were hardest hit though.

That is still a great effort !

I'm glad I didn't panic on Doedee, he should get a ton of ball coming his way. I'm not convinced by Lukosius, but 70s are solid enough to hold him for now.

News is McKenna did not breach ANY Afl Covid rules. He went to an open inspection, which is allowed under AFL rules. During the weights session, distancing was practiced...

The lynch mob that's been after him, especially in the press - well, I guess I'm not surprised at all, unfortunately.
