Jeez hes tempting me for a smidge more than Ridley. That big run of games in WA might just be too much for me to ignore I think. You started with him if memory serves, how have you interpreted his season so far?

Correct. Vied with Sicily/Daniel/Houston as a starter joining Laird and Docherty. Main allure was his opening draw which consisted of winnable games, several at home and his tendency to start well in conjunction with performing better at home and in wins along with potentially increasing his disposal avg or limiting those poor games. I have been an advocate of his for the past few seasons, so I was excited to select him this season.

A tad underwhelming but expected with players of his type and the 100/120+ compensate for those low scores. Boasts a great kick in ratio evident by taking the 3rd most kick ins, in 2019 between RD1-RD18 (Hurn and Lloyd only players to have had more). Seems to be playing less of an intercept role and more of a lockdown role due to fellow defenders being injured which I would prefer if a Freo supporter or avid watcher can confirm if the assumption is correct.

Lots of appealing def options currently below $500,000 (S Hurn, L Ryan, T Stewart and J Ridley). I would try to identify which you would prefer and if they will be easily attainable.

Any love for Mills?
Put up a big score last weekend, but the 2 weeks previous also made 110+
Averaged about 80 in the last 2 seasons, so is he going up a level?
Definitely has matured and improved as a backman, but don't think he's ready to be consistently scoring above 100 like that. Maybe gets that midfield spot with JPK out, Alir Alir and McInerney back, Lewis Taylor forward for Heeney although not like for like.

Brought him in last week ??
Only because I heard Horse saying he would like him to play more midfield but he is such a good defender. Not sure if JK and Heeney out will hurt though.

He has a nice role with a little more mid time, is scoring well, relatively cheap to a Lloyd type and a massive POD. What’s not to like?

Here’s another left field gamble, Lukosius. D/F swing with Brander, under $400k. No2 draft pick in his second season and has gotten better with each game. Elite user of the footy and now starting to post tons with 2 in his last 3 games. If, like me, you are struggling for a D6 then this guy might get you a 90 ave at a discount price. Riskier than Mills, but waaaay cheaper, and you can swing him fwd later.
