I'm tossing up between Pickett and Simpson to trade out , I don't really want to trade them this early but I need the cash.
At least we know Pickett is playing, Simpson may get dropped.
Obviously we won't know until later tomorrow, but geez it'd be stiff for the Cats to drop Simpson. SC aside, for someone prior to the year that I would've called a battler at AFL level, he's shown he can add something to the Cats, particularly the last two games, with his tackle and running ability to get to the feet of marking contests, etc. He's certainly not quick though lol. I think if anything he might get a 'rest' rather than dropped, but as a young bloke who appears to be pretty fit I'm not sure he needs it, or would want it after 2 years out of the AFL side until this year.

I'm hoping Close has done enough footy wise to hold his spot and eek out a couple more price rises.

I have almost settled on;

Bennell and Budarick out
Simpkin and Schoenberg in.

It seems neat and I save my first trade of the year. I think I let Mitchell go for the week. I can't find the right combo to bring him in. Simpkin is a nice price.

Not much talk about Gawn. Sounds like the injury really impacted him and he will be touch and go again tomorrow night, and potentially every round moving forward!

720k, massive breakeven and a dodgy shoulder. Doesn't bode overly well.

I think I keep.gawn even if he misses and let draper back him up.

Thinking Budarick/Mahoney to Simpkin/Schoenberg writes itself

I might just pull a COVID-ball 2020 madness style trade out of Josh Kelly to another big dog just so I have a chance in the SCS PL against @IDIG 😉

@BarginHunter - I would seriously consider trading out any player you see as meaningfully overpriced. Take their price and divide by $5,000 - if you think they’ll average say 15 or 20 less than this, consider trading them to someone who can score similarly but who may be much cheaper.

Dumont to someone like Simpkin would be one to consider if you don’t have him.
Ahhh ok yeah good idea. For example i think WHE is overpriced but idk who to trade to?(but its gotta be someone cheaper right?)

Hi there, this is a great community isn’t it. I joined in 2014 and since then my overall ranking has gone from the mid 30 thousands to my current 5,000 odd (we’ll overlook 2018’s 80,000 if that’s okay with everyone).

For the first few years I just read every thread going. Didn’t understand most of it :)

But slowly my supercoaching has improved, and it’s almost completely due to this site. Lately I’ve been commenting here and there, but mostly I just read all the top drawer info everyone provides.

I can recommend the weekly C/VC, trades, and in-game discussion threads of course, but also Questions for Rowsus (remarkable), Player X v Player Y, Rate My Team (pre-season), and the specific Rookie, Mids, Rucks, and Forwards threads. All rolled gold imo.

EDIT: and the Defs thread

Best of luck in your SuperCoach journey to the 50k!
Thank you, i mainly just used round... Trades and in game chat but yeah ill look into those other threads coz i wanna do as best as i can in this. And yeah i joined in rd 5? I think but sincr then my average score has gone from 1,700 to 1,900+ and my ranking has improved woth it. So i owe almost all of my info of the game from u guys. I also love how everyone is willing to help rookies like me and eachother. This is basically what football(and sport) is all about. Being goodsports people and enjoying the game from where ever they are.

My advice would be to trade in a $102.4k mid instead of Watson, but instead of banking the $53k keep Simpson or Rankine and trade out Bennell.

Then I would trade in the best premo you can next week with 3 trades, settle for a 21 premium side and slingshot 4 premiums over (or ahead of) their Rd14-15 byes keeping 2 trades for insurance over the final 1-2 rounds.
Great advice, rethinking my whole strategy now!

Might actually trade in Schoenberg into the mids and trade out Budarick instead of Bennell. Optimistic but if I am any chance of full premo need to eek out all the cash gen I can

Should i pull the trigger?
Gawn > Big O
Bennell > Shuey
Mahoney > Fyfe
Trading a player who has an injury and played through it to two injury risk players, although Bennell also has the injury tag as he sees himself on the way out.

If you are doing, Fyfe is not for me. Beside the fact I am enjoying Serong's scores, with another player spending more time in the mids, Fyfe may not go back to the 100% mid player he was in the early rounds. Not just injury risk, role as well concerns for Fyfe.

Shuey I like, tends to be an injury player once a year, not more.
