I thought I'd do something similar, I pushed Teddy to reserves and am thinking
Cleary/Bateman VC, to Ponga C

Still haven't traded, Taupau now out means I have $1.8m sitting unused with CS9, Munster, Marty so could be some pain this round.

I think I am going to go to Papalii too, their run is too good to pass up on, risky as I am playing williams and Bateman too so if they have a shocker and the Broncos perform to their potential I'm in trouble

Should he be a trade out or hold?
The last few games, he's looked the best he's looked all season.
tough one, Ive got good FRF cover with Papi, Taupau and Carro but I am streached to the limit carrying big cash on the bench, CS9, munster and Taupau this week. I had to play Rudolph this week and hes now a sell 39 is ok but I cant rely on him. It really will depend if CS9 comes back or not, dont expect Munster this week but if I end up carrying smith for 3 weeks its been a mistake. The way i look at it the good thing about Haas is hes heavily owned, we will know exactly how long he is out for and he's is relatively affordable to get back in. At this stage I'm expecting Tapau back but no smith or munster, if so and Haas is out for 2 weeks or more I think I will sell him and bring him back in for Taupau as that lines up with AFB coming back.

Edit : for what its worth not for Supercoach but I think Haas should fight the charge, I really didn't see intent, I think they have a genuine argument to downgrade it and get a week.

Sitting on 1350 with some updates still to come, I'm very happy about that with a lot of talent sitting on the bench. C Cleary, Nofo, Bateman and finally Williams! made my round, bringing in Papali was a bit of a let down but I guess the big picture is he stayed healthy and reduced minutes this game bodes well for the next.

I fear a teddy rest soon but probably not next week now they need a win, Tentative trades next week I need a centre, Mann, Mansour or maybe even Talakai if Nikora doesnt feature again which could allow me to do just one trade of Rudoplh to Talakai as I fall just short for Mansour now I think.

The only real let downs were DBrown, Mitchell, Papalii, all mid 40's.
My first choice of captain was Nofo, but then decided to VC Cleary/Bateman (I went Cleary), and then Captained Ponga. Out of those four Ponga scored the lowest. I wasn't game enough to captain Nofo.

This is my firat year of SCNRL so still learning.

Learning the importance of not wasting trades. i.e not chasing cash if it takes away from final team. Lomax wasn't the first I wasted an out trade on just to get him back in. Thing is now I'm not sure I get him back in 😬

I DO want him, and I want McInnes. This round Im sure I cant get both. So am thinking McInnes over Lomax.

It's also why Im asking about Haas. I decided moving ACrichton on because I decided I won't bring him back in.

So what's your thoughts
1) Rudolf, Fidow > McInnes, JAnderson $3.5k ITB

2) Haas, Fidow > McInnes, JAnderson $201k ITB

3) Something else

Current trades:
Out: M Aubusson, T Rudolf
In: D Nofoaluma and T Ale (loop)

Might be a too late for Nofoaluma considering his difficult upcoming fixture but he is the main gun I am missing and I have sufficient cover in the remaining positions.

Nofo definitely adds to the enjoyment, you'll not die wondering if he'll get the ball, he'll find it.

In my opinion you have a lot of people to move on, i'd focus on that and keep Haas, some variant of the first option by a mile for mine.

Your CTW is great. Ikuvalu, Hammer, Funa will need to go, as soon as you move one of them you can bring Yeo back down to CTW, for the moment I recon you just have to pass on Lomax for this week at least. Ikuvalu has the biggest BE, frees up the most cash and Bmoz and toupou must be very close to coming back, if he's listed to play i'd move him on, if not its not a rush. Hammer has no value to loose, he'd be last on the list, could jag a 100 while you shuffle things around.

Rudolph's time is up also, he's peaked and isn't a reliable play, sell him and move Carro up to FRF to cover for Haas, flegler now out for broncos too, Carro could be locked in for 80mins at this rate.

Been reading alot today of the opinion Nofo is no longer a buy, I disagree completely. Yes tigers have a tough draw but Nofo will proably average what 60 from here at worst, who else can guarantee that in CTW? Add to that the odd try or double every now an then there is no way im selling him. Lots of Origin talk about him (not that I'm on board with that until he fixes his defence) but if there is that chatter he's gonna keep busting tackles.

Thanks. I was thinking of moving Iku out a couple of weeks back too.

Iku, Rudolf > McInnes, J.Anderson
$181k ITB

Allows me to keep Haas.
I'm liking it. 👍

What are your thoughts on bringing Brett Morris back in?🙄 (BMoz, J.Anderson)

Sure he's got a 148 BE so he'll highly likely be cheaper next week. McInnes is very good but his ceiling is not as high as BMoz. Roosters play Tigers, and Tigers have gone down heavily against Knights and got away with a close win last week against Bulldogs. It's most likely I'll then pick up McInnes next week.

Bmoz - Tigers, Broncos, Raiders
McInnes - Broncos, Titans, Cowboys

Trade outs still Iku and Rudolf.

I wouldn’t be trading in a Roosters back until they get their groove back, especially not a player that’s reliant on attacking stats.

As someone in the need of a CTW I don't hate it, big BE and Roosters out of form but wind back the clock, maybe he is part of the reason they out of form? No Angus and Radley is more the reason proabably though, BE starting to becomes less relevant as we near the end its points we want.

Gee I'm torn on my trades.

Mcinnes / CS9
Papali / Taupau / Haas / Rudolph
Bateman / Lolo / Matto / Carro / Fermor / Kerr
Cleary / Williams
SJ / Munster
Yeo / Lomax / Nofo / Shib / Williame / Nuff / Nuff
Teddy / Ponga

Last few weeks I have been playing a sub par 17th and its cost me points, each week I get one gun back while another goes out. I've held Matto, CS9, Munster and now have Haas.

Seems Smith def back next week so thats a hold, munsters a maybe??? and Haas definately not. But all I need is another Gun to go down and I sit in this same cycle.

I can go Rudolph / Kerr to Nuff / $618K and can bring in pretty much anyone from Api, Barnett / Harris, Mansour / Crichton / Mann so if If I were to hold this trio my 16th is Williams which is ok, and my 17th will be one of shibasaki or fermor if he starts of which either has potential, and this pretty much give me a free swing at the VC loop with Cleary.

Otherwise I sell one of CS9, Munster and Haas and Rudolph for 2 keepers.
CS9 and Haas is the best in their postion by a long way so if i trade them out I have to have a plan to trade back in, wasnt planning on keeping Taupau so he would be the methood. munster I can probably live without but I really don't see another half I would want in to play to the end, maybe take a punt on Hunt.

I'm leaning towards Haas out I think??

What about Wiliame, Kerr > 2 of Paseka, Talakai, To'a? or similar.
It might be sideways movement, chasing cash, but it allows you to keep your goodies. Although they maybe AE issues in the last weeks also. Paseka looks so good, just uncertain of job security.
Otherwise we know Api, Dfif, or Klemmer won't hurt.
