421 Labuschagne

Livingstone 112 , Marsh 84 , Behrendorff 67 , Swepson 50

Lynn 27 , Labuschagne 24 , Inglis 10 , Munro 10 , Richardson 6 , Morkel 5 , Steketee 2

I still have no idea how to pick a team for the finals
Apparently it’s to start with the worst dual position player or bowler who is still getting some run and work your way up... you’d think Jhye, Marnus and Lynn would give you high scores but they were among the lower scorers

Instead, your highest scorers had the likes of Bancroft, Hardie and a banged up Marsh who isn’t bowling... they have averages of 16.3, 26 and 40.9 (Marsh obviously did well when he was bowling but recently had that one 99 point game... but 4 of his last 5 games resulted in scores below 10)

With 10 minutes to go before lockout and coming 43rd I was in a quandary about who to captain, Marnus or Roy. With Roy out and Bancroft
playing whatever I said to my Mrs ( who despises cricket ) in my position who do I captain? I said its safe with Marnus or take a chance on Livo.
Without hesitation she said Livo ( on the theory that I will shut up and stop pestering her about something she couldn't give a stuff about).
I actually kissed her at the 10 over mark of the Scorchers batting innings. Such is life.

Automatic Wickie (A SCS League) has moved into #1 spot ahead of SCS Regulars.

SCS Regulars needs to outscore Atuomatic Wickie by an average of 15/member to regain the #1 spot.

It should be noted, there are 8 members that are in both those Leagues, and have effectively secured themselves a #1 & #2 League finish for the season.

Brice Mitchell's mini League in 3rd place needs to average around about 50 more than Automatic Wickie to finish in front, and take the number #1 spot.

Might be able to be in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ranked leagues if SCS CL league members get their buttocks into gear next round.

Now I'm no longer in the top ranked league (SCS Regulars has lost top spot to Automatic Wickie, which I am not in), I won't feel as guilty about making crazy selections in the final. I have been picking a bit more conservatively the last two rounds to try and help maintain our top spot - it hasn't worked, I probably would have been better picking the less popular options. Death or Glory for the final!

Just like Marnus getting more than half of his points from bowling (281/529). I’d argue that’s more farcical than the guys you’re worried about.
Marnus has yet to prove himself as a T20 batsmen though , think he actually needs to open and just play normal cricket shots in the PP to get himself going , doesn't yet have the power game required.

His bowling is improving , but bad balls often get wickets in T20.

Not worried about any others to be honest , first Vince , Heazlett , Bancroft & Burns , makes Hughes the logical pick for Saturday.

Love to know what's gone wrong with Jhye though.

Give him the Burns treatment and bat him at 6 so he has to learn how to clear the fence.

Down four spots to 60. Maybe that was about par again!

Interesting to note that you'd have got about 700 with the entire Perth lineup and Livo C, which might have even been reasonable if you thought Perth were big enough favourites...
Good enough for no.1 for the round...Surprised no one tried it actually.
