They probably thought he may not get over the brain injury and moved on, got passed in the pecking order. Maybe he thought he was a walk up start, without putting in the effort again. Anyway, the way I see Higgins is, he's a kid playing amongst men, switches teams and is playing with under 18s again. He is that far ahead with his knowledge and the rigid Richmond process he looks elite, but not quite there.

The eye for that game was on Steele, Cripps, Walsh, Williams, Clark, Dow and Highmore.
4 got a pass mark. 3 of which are in my current draft.
Pen firmly through Walsh for SC. Rather be in the 60% that don’t own Cripps at this stage. Nothing I saw from Dow suggests he’s a better pick than a 123K rookie

Ratten re Frawley injury & Highmore :-
"We're not completely sure how bad it is, but it is a hamstring in that same area. I'm tipping he'll be two or three weeks out, depending on the scan and where it sits," St Kilda coach Brett Ratten said.
"I think Tom Highmore has done some good things straightaway at the footy club. He's had some opportunities, he played a quarter last week and he was lucky because of 'Chip' (Frawley) that he got to play three quarters tonight.
"He's done a lot of things right. We'll go through that in the selection and whether Jake Carlisle comes in or it's Tom Highmore, we might even play a bit different. Jimmy Webster can play taller, Nick Coffield can play taller as well … we're not going to make any decisions on that

I thought Dow's performance was basically the minimum Carlton would've expected from him in his first couple of seasons, or what you'd want from a decent SC rookie not at a premium price. You'd want more out of a player now in his fourth season. It was still a lot better than the fumbling and bumbling and generally not looking up to the level he's displayed so far of course. Probably a pass, it shouldn't be too hard to jump on if he scores well in the first couple of rounds.

Might have done the full cycle on Cripps. Wasn’t going to touch him after 2 poor years in my team. Listening to the masses and FOMO sees him currently at M4 for me. However there many similarities to last year for me in that game.
I was keen on Walsh as an alternative however what on earth is 61 points from 25 touches.

You either go up to a Brayshaw , McCluggage , Walsh type and hope they are a Top 10 mid.
Or down to a Simpkin , Rowell , Taranto or even further to a Caldwell , Green , Heppell.
Or just play safe and replace him with Dusty.
Posed the question weeks ago are we all positive Cripss does return to being a Top 10 mid or is the main attraction his starting price.
Lot of mouths to feed at Carlton with the SC pie.
