Then get tagged, freeing up all the doggies mids we've taken out of our teams.
Didn't they have to move Daniel to a sort of floating role around the ground in their final against St Kilda because he was losing them the match with his defensive 'efforts' on Geary? Any vaguely competent side will target his opponent whenever possible, it's just a question of how many goals is too many for Bevo.

Think inside/outside mids will also benefit from the changes. Macrae, Kelly, Merrett types - players who can win it in the contest but also get the cheap little marks and handball receives from the extra space. Less stoppages overall may mean pure inside mids drop a bit.

As many suspected, Daniel is going to be a real beneficiary from these new rules - elite kick & decision maker, can now really work the angles even more.

Macca... wow, just an insane 1/4
I'm super interested in the way the play seems to benefit those inside/outside mids like people have mentioned, more than the pure in-the-guts types.

Has me looking at starting Jelly/Macrae types instead of Petracca/Oliver/Cripps types

Oh yeah, and after saying 'Dogs mids are too crowded' all pre-season (like everyone else), Jack Macrae reminds us why he has averaged 120 three years running.

Just don't change your sides too fast everyone... we haven't seen Neale yet :p
