Fair enough! Seemed like he had a good first half but then faded in the second, classic 2nd year player issue...

Caldwell not locked for me fwiw haha but still in contention. Ironically I may opt for Harmes just on structure. Hoping Highmore gets up though....
Be brave to take Harmes I think with the role uncertainty and their entire 1st rotation of mids out but I definitely see the argument for him and he was in a few of my earlier drafts. A strong showing today will put him in the frame for a lot of coaches with the def rookie woes.

Caldwell extremely likely to make my side now I think. Was very impressed with his game and the forward eligibility gives him the nod over Green. Plenty can change in 2 weeks though.

This is basically my setup right now. Would like to get Taranto up to a more premium mid but funds won’t allow it. He is the only mid in that price bracket that I’m remotely interested in. Still have concerns on his SC to DT ratio though.
I toyed with pushing down to 3 mids and taking Heeney instead of Taranto as I have the same concerns about him, but if I was worried about making 4 strong upgrades, making 5 seems highly unlikely.

Yeah it’s mainly dependant on rookie structure.... Something like Harmes + Warner v Caldwell + Highmore. If Highmore is confirmed to play, I’d defs go Caldwell.....

Any concerns re: Clayton Oliver? was training away from the group only a couple of weeks back right?
He’s the one guy I have no fears on
Will still play 22 games at a minimum of 110
He’s safe as houses. If it was a proper injury rather then general soreness then I would be hesitant but he looked unbelievable against us at Casey fields and has been running since November last year in prep for this season. Guy is a dedicated machine

General soreness apparently, @Bomber18 posted tweet in Injury thread.

I would like to know general soreness where though - if in the shoulder, potentially some red flags....?

Shoulder surgery, modified program most of the year and now this. He's been in since SC opened but I'd rather pick guys who have been flying in the preseason. Most people wont be worried, but I dont want a single doubt over a player im paying 650k for. I always overreact to these things though, its probably nothing.

After everything with Cripps being such a great price and everything, im starting to have my doubts whether it be the suspected injury, new roles? Or peoples opinions.

Is there anyone at the blues or anyone within that price range that is worth looking at? Ive had on and off thoughts on Walsh but this is his third season and theres not much to go on? (or am i reading too far into it?)

From the Blues, I think Ed Curnow is set to finally break into the 600k+ group.

In his last 2 games he scored an 80 and then an 85. If he keeps up that level of improvement he's set for some big 150+ scores at the end of this season. I think it's a chance

Are there any rookie priced mids at the Lions who may now be in line for more opportunity trickling down after the shuffling that will inevitably occur with Rayner out for the season?

Is it possible that Ely Smith completely bangs down the door here?
