Yeah, something to think about. Ruck rookies usually are more reliable scorers than others IMO, you would back Neale to match Gawn this season and for me it would be Meek/Flynn to outscore a rookie mid so I'm warming to the idea.

They'll be fine, they have to adjust if losing the tap outs and start sharking some balls. Same as Pittonet being ineffective whilst trying to feed Crippa and Walsh.

Limited information but in the 3 games Gawn and Jackson played together, Gawn avg 84% CBA, and scored 185, 87 and 107 for and avg of 126

Goodwin has his coaching career on the line this season/ he would be the under the most pressure I would think.
Surely your best player/your most influential player/ the captain of the club plays where he can have the most impact.
I can’t see Gawn playing fwd much, maybe just for rests due to less rotations but any coach with a brain plays his biggest asset the majority of the time in the area where he can impact a game the most ???

That's what I am thinking. The object of playing an AFL game is to win. If Jackson isn't winning enough hit outs, then I would expect Gawn will play more ruck.
My interest is, how good is Jackson as a ruckman?
