Feel sorry for Lazzaro. Would be the worst way to make your "debut". A once in a life time experience is sitting on the bench for possibly the entire game. I think I would rather play reserves and wait until I make the 22.
I particularly hate that Lazzaro was already named as the medical sub and still didn't get a starting gig even after a late scratching. I get that having four emergencies means you can replace like for like, but... you can't feel too good about yourself when you're overlooked even in that scenario.

What’s everyone think a par score is looking like for this round?
I'd say par is looking 2100+ but there's going to be an awful lot of really good teams that don't get near it because of the Gawn/Grundy/Neale combination all going tits up.

Will come down a lot to the rookies, fielding Rowe and Gulden is basically 150 points on the alternatives right now.

There have actually been very few failures outside the big 3 to start the season. Martin, Dunkley and Zorko were good, Danger was solid. Phillips and Caldwell were solid. That's the forwards basically.

Every back has basically scored 100, those who got Mills basically the only advantage, Doch basically the worst at ~95.

Mids outside Neale have been underwhelming but not terrible. Oliver, Macrae, Walsh, Pendles, Bont, Petracca, Brayshaw, Fyfe, Sloane, Merrett, Mitchell, Parker and Cripps are all ball park, couple on the low end, couple on the high end but that group has basically averaged 110 and is all the guys so far.

Rucks have all stunk except Hickey, which is how you know the apocalypse is coming.

They simply kicked straight 8.0 to 1.4 in the third quarter. Its amazing what happens when you do that.
Believe I50 entries were the same for the quarter, you guys missed the chances and missed the targets, they didn't.

Bombers fans would be disappointed for sure but I think you also walk away knowing you were the better side and that you'd win far more times than you'd lose repeating that match and style. Next step is sustaining the pressure longer periods and taking your chances but I think they looked good.

NTH knew on Friday that McDonald wasn’t going to play, so I would say within the four walls that Menadue know he was playing, and Lazzaro sub.

I mentioned to a few of the LG that I’d heard McDoanld was in doubt on Friday. Given it’s a new contact link for me I wasn’t confident enough yet to post on the open forum without seeing the track record. But turns out they are now two from two so that’s handy to know going forward ;)

Just wondering, does it still count towards his game count if he's the medical sub and didn't go on? Just thinking ahead to the grand final... being the medical sub and not playing would you still get a medal?
Article on AFL.com.au 4 days ago confirmed the medical sub would get a premiership medal even if they were not used.

Downie officially has now played one career game.

Is it Hartlett’s seat he’s keeping warm? I’m keen on him but not, if you know what I mean.
That's what I am worried about, if he were selected with Hartlett it would have been a more confident pick. He's in now so his spot to lose, have picked him on scoring potential, if he's dropped then I've set aside correction trades.

Yeah I agree and his probably got the best scoring potential of the lot in the forward line. Problem for me is I’m going to need quite a few corrective trades hahah
