It's so tempting this week to try and make my rnd 2 team look more like I wish my round 1 team should have looked. But my team is now my team whether I like it or not.
I would love to Trade Gaff to Mills. The only reason I dropped Mills was because of the concussion. I thought he was a good pick all preseason and still think he's a good pick but the concussion threw me off. Anyway.
I should be using 2 trades to upgrade a rookie to a premium. So each trade is worth about 25 points a week. Gaff to Mills looks nice but it might only get me 10 points a week. Plus Brissy were giving up big scores to mids last year and Touk is one of the heaviest anchors in the AFL so I might have just seen Mills and Ga*** best and worst games.
So I get the punching bag out instead.

Would love to hold Danger (could almost turn into a POD if everyone offloads him), but with Treacy as my FD in the forward line, it might be too risky playing without forward cover for 2-3 weeks.

Would probably go to Titch or Zorko.

No m/f like Scott or Brockman etc sitting in the mids to switch?

Gaff was a last minute SC starting pick. I over thought the long quarters and rules. I missed danger and rowell bullets and i was on mills all pre season so happy to correct this week gaff to mills via laird

The rest of my team looks good and i will use one or 2 for rookie corrections ober the next werk or so if anyone gets dropped....jordan the only potential one that looks a must for my team if he backs it up. I was very impressed by his game

Anyone who watched Essendon on Saturday night - how essential did Heppell look? Considering Danger + Dow to Z Williams + Heppell (with the aid of some DPPs).
Not sure they are the best trades you could make.
With so many defenders looking the goods I don't think you will be limited for choice and Williams didn't look like a must have in the preseason.

Nicely done. A lot of people would have blown it on a sub-optimum keeper.
Thanks Darkie

It was kinda funny because Cumming was in all my early Jan/Feb drafts, so my team did full circle. In hindsight (only had about 20 mins to make the decision), I think I should have Ex ante gone for Young, who was in my team 3 days out, and ex post Bowes. Though not disappointed in Cumming, played a good role, will make $$ and a single trade to keeper with the cash saved.

Thanks to those who suggested 1. Bowes, off their own bat, no less and 2. H Clarke over Duggan from my list. Definitely helped me because Duggan was high up there (above H Clark).

Now, via the magic of DPPs Danger to Bowes/Dusty/Daniel/Oliver/Titch)?

Anyone considering Stephenson? 354k is an awkward price but see his heat map below

Solid 33 touches and 110+ SC in a 50 point blowout

Also can someone that watched the Sydney game please explain how Hickey managed 23 disposals (one less than Lloyd lol) and whether that’s sustainable as a solo ruck for Syd? (Weighing up options for Gawn)

Hickey worked out how bad OMc was and just started grabbing it from the ruck and hacking forward. Given how bad he was also rucking it was actually a really smart play. Do not think it's sustainable but he's still a lone ruck so he should score solidly above his price.

Stephenson very much on the radar, solid role and the forwards looked as advertised to me, couple of standouts and the rest in the 90s.

I watched the entire game too and also in the camp that Hickey and the Swans just had a good game and the Big O and the Lions mailed one in.

Let's see how Hickey goes against ROB first and Gawn should be given at least one more chance before the price changes anyway. Besides Flynnsanity might be everyone's go to R2 option (plus another rookie/loop R3) next week if both molecules of the Grawndy compound can't deliver for their irate owners.
