What did Carlton get out of the Tuohy trade?
ZACH Tuohy has got his wish, with the Carlton running defender traded to Geelong after nominating the Cats as his preferred destination on the first day of the NAB AFL Trade Period.

In return, the Blues got Cats forward Billie Smedts, a future first-round pick and the No.63 pick the Cats gained after trading Shane Kersten to Fremantle.

Along with the 26-year-old Tuohy, Geelong received a future second-round pick from Carlton.

75 would get him to approx $410-415K in 2 weeks. It will be interesting to see which is more accurate...
Yeah, seems like TooSerious is off a bit, I'd put it closer to Brice's, maybe a bit lower though.

I always forget what the MN changes to after the first few weeks. I know it starts around 5,400, and then reaches about 5,000 after several weeks. If I rerun it again, he still peaks in 2 weeks, but at about $406k, making a profit of about $108k.

Was listening to sen1116 this morning with Fagan being interviewed, talked about the hard tags on Neale and that it wasn't anything new, that he'd been tagged in half his games last year, some he played well, others didn't. Bottom line, he's had a whinge to Afl headquarters about his treatment, so expect some favourable umpiring decisions this week, he'll be my vc again this week. 😜

Darn, didn't see Fullarton getting ruck time so not in my team. Focussing on Treacy in 2 weeks time as F/R option for Hunter. Could do Sharp>Fullarton this week and Cripps>Dunkley next week but likely to cost me one off 60K and 30 points per week going for as long as I hold Cripps. Dont think it is worth it...

Considered the same but likely Fullarton only gets the 1 week in the ruck. Nice bonus for those who have should get a boost in possession (not sure he’ll get many HTA’s!)

Definitely not worth it. Fullarton doesn't know how to play as a ruck or a key forward at this level, he's very mobile for his size but otherwise looks like he's got a ton of work to do if wants to make it.
Average is not a great way to assess a KPF like Tex. Match ups are better as he could hit an iceberg.
If there's any more talk of averages after TWO games I'm going to lose my mind :ROFLMAO:

Despite a 2-0 start to the season and some good signs from a developing back line, senior coach Luke Beveridge believes the Bulldogs have a way to go before they settle on their best mix.

“We’re fortunate enough to have won games, but there’s competition for spots as well and the complexion of our team will continue to evolve,” he told media on Wednesday.

Beveridge said Wood was a likely inclusion to face the Kangaroos in the Kick for the Kids game.

“His name’s definitely on the table and it’s more than likely it will probably go on the board as well,” he said.

“We wanted Easton to play another VFL game last week – with 30-minute quarters and the 75 interchange these days, if players are coming off soft tissue and there’s a little bit of doubt, we’ll make sure we’re really confident with them going in.

“That might mean spending another game at state league level, which Easton went and did and he played really well.”

Johannisen didn’t play any footy last week, after not being called upon as the medical sub.

Beveridge said the Bulldogs would steer away from using the same player in that role in consecutive weeks – but said it was a guide as to who is close to being selected.

“He’ll definitely play a full game, at AFL level or VFL level – he won’t be the sub again,” Beveridge said on Johannisen.

“If you’re the 23rd man – there’s probably a particular type that suits, and it suits the team from a versatility point of view.

“But it’s also probably a pecking order and a selection order as well. Last week because we didn’t make any changes, Westy was the sub and played state league (the following week).

“This week if we make changes, JJ’s a chance to come in.”

From the sound of that, I think Scott &/or McNeil could well be dropped this week.

McNeil had a lot of pressure acts. Maybe Scott. Lucky this week that 3 of my trade out candidates are all named early. Sharp, McNeil and Scott.
