IF Frawley comes in this week should we get rid of Highmore even with his large negative BE especially if D 6-8 is Murphy, Jones and Highmore?
Nope, middle of upgrade season is the worst time for sideways trades. Should be an up or a down barring a major injury but even then it should be an up or a down on that player and not a rookie who remains a chance of playing, albeit not a good one.

Depending on bye balance he might be worth moving in that period.

Is this a rookie? What's his name?
I'm guessing it's Sam Hayes given Lycett suspension though he sure looking like Dean Brogan 2.0 in that picture!
Yep, Sam Hayes.

A young bloke (21), did his knee in his first season and has built up some pretty decent SANFL form.

Signed a two year contract extension earlier this year despite being 3rd in line for PTA at the time, and despite some interest from Victorian clubs to lure him back home and Sydney pushing for him to be included in the Aliir Aliir deal.

In general this seems good advice.

Just one rider, does it depend on how many trades left.

Having missed much of the early season carnage I still have 22 left and am languishing.

He is after all neither scoring points nor making cash.

I'd argue those trades would have more value getting a luxury M9/F7 guy to loophole at the other end than deferring an upgrade now.

I'd be finding a downgrade if you can.

I can understand it if you've got not one deserving of being traded out and can't afford any upgrade but chances you don't have Kosi, Chapman, Berry, Campbell, Gulden, Powell, Flynn or even the likes of Scott or Rowe (less desirable with cash to make) seems unlikely, I'm not sure if it's a congrats or a commiserations if you don't have any of them :)
